Very tasty steak, perfectly cooked, and the best chips I've had for a long time. In fact, all three courses were enjoyed by all three diners, and delightful service to boot. A highly successful lunch all round.

Excellent lunch with great choices and flavours as well as superb wines. It's the jewel in Acton's crown.

We had the signature dish - Vacherin - which was delicious. Lovely lunch but the phone ringing very loud a few times whilst we were dining was annoying and did not really create a pleasurable atmosphere. Also the waitress polishing cutlery right next to us (so close we were practically touching at one point) whilst we were eating was not what I would expect - the restaurant was empty so I am sure it was not neccessary. She was lovely but perhaps more training needed.

Great service, good atmosphere and generally excellent food brought down by a couple of issues. My son and I shared the Chateaubriand which was well cooked and had great flavour, but unfortunately it was hard to cut and chew as it was very grisly. Also, we opted for peppercorn sauce (which was on the menu for a Ribeye special) and although the overall flavour was very good, it was excessively salty. Starters and my wife's main of Lemon Sole were all excellent though. I liked the wine list - arranged buy region with a good selection at sensible prices (for a mid-end French restaurant that is).

We did not enjoy the meal, food is not as it used to be the prices gone up and the quality gone down.
Service was good , booking was simple and easy, just the food let you down.
