Myself and my husband had a late lunch at Paul's in Covent Garden on New Year's Eve. I had booked a table before hand so we had somewhere to sit as the restaurant was very busy. The waiting staff were very friendly and chatty. The interior of the restaurant was shabby, there were lots of light bulbs out and the whole place including the ladies toilets looked very untidy and dated.
The food was disappointing. I did give a tip after our meal but this only because our waitress was so lovely. ( A tall polish lady with black hair)

Disgraceful. Had booked in advance. Waited 50 minutes for ravioli and when it arrived it was nothing more than a bowl of rich cream. Left and will never return. I came to London for a special evening with my partner. Dining experience at de Paul ruined the occasion.

Lovely food and drinks, lots of options for brunch. Wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant - went on a Sunday morning having previously been on a Saturday and it was must less busy (which was positive!). My only reason for not giving five stars was that service was a little slow considering the restaurant was not full - both in terms of ordering food and it arriving.

Really lovely food and service. I was glad I prebooked as the restaurant was really busy.

Very good restaurant, pleasing decor and comfortable seating. Excellent menu and the food was very good. The staff were attentive and really friendly without being over the top. They were also very efficient. One nice thing was because of the furnishings there was not too much noise, we were able to talk without having to resort to shouting at each other!! Good value for money would recommend to anyone.

Excellent from initial greeting, service, food to exit. Paul has everything you require, ambience, range of food available and service staff who make it a really enjoyable experience. It would be my first choice in Covent Garden at any time of the day, as it covers any requirement. A regular favourite.

Excellent food and service but rather noisy from children as it was school holiday. Normally excellent ambience.
