With striking views of Tower Bridge from the elegant terrace, Le Pont de la Tour exudes an air of elegant refinement. Sublime French brasserie-style dishes and one of London's best wine lists can be experienced in the tranquil marine-inspired dining room with riverside views.

Blending French classicism with modern touches, the Pont de la Tour menu includes whole roasted mallard with creamed cabbage, pommes paille, and game jus, or fresh crustacea like grilled lobster with garlic butter. Vegetarian dishes at Le Pont de la Tour London include stuffed Piquillo pepper with tomato couscous, fried courgette and sauce verte.

Decadences like banana soufflé with caramelised peanut ice cream and salted caramel sauce or raspberry crème brulée with pistachio sablé are presented alongside an excellent French cheese selection.

The intimate private dining rooms at Le Pont de la Tour Shad Thames present unique dining areas divided by a glass wall, surrounded by fine wines and rare Grand Crus.

Le Pont de La Tour is currently undergoing refurbishment, to make sure the restaurant design is every bit as striking as the food, the wine and the view. While getting ready for the big reveal they would like to recommend dining with their neighbours at The Butlers Wharf Chop House or its pop-up restaurant, Carom Spice Garden, Blueprint Café and Cantina del Ponte. They'll be back open in mid- September, but if you have any questions in the meantime call 020 7403 8403 or email lepontres@danddlondon.com.

It was a brilliant night and the food was exquisite and quality of the food was most better than the quantity. Going back there again.

Had a lovely meal outdoors . Asparagus cooked very well, fresh risotto and great sticky tarte tatin. Staff friendly and efficient.

We went here on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was vibrant however the service was disorganised. We ordered cocktails to start with. The intention was to drink them before starting our meal. The cocktails were very nice however we had barely started our cocktails when our starters were served. I had the scallops to start with and my Girlfriend had the Lobster Civiche. The Scallops were nice and the lobster average. We ordered a bottle of wine to go with our main course which was served before we had even had a chance to finish our cocktails or starter. Several waiters then repeatedly asked us if we wanted to order food or wine once our order had been taken. For a restaurant that sells itself as upmarket you would have thought the staff would have been able to communicate between themselves to know which tables had ordered. Onto the main course we ordered the chateaubriand cooked rare to share. This came out more medium to well done when we complained we were told by the French waiter that this was how they served rare meat. For a French restaurant with a French waiter this was very surprising and would have had many French people up in arms! They agreed to change our chateaubriand which they said would come out "blue" this turned up and was more medium rare in the real world. Nevertheless it was a nice cut of meat. To finish we had the crème brûlée which was nice. Overall we felt very rushed at the beginning of our meal with many waiters repeatedly trying to take our order when we had already ordered. The view was nice but you pay a premium price for it and the service and food quality doesn't really match up.

To be honest the food was very average and on the whole not great value for money.

    The menu was very dull

    It lacked real flavour

Shame because my previous meal some time back was very different
