With striking views of Tower Bridge from the elegant terrace, Le Pont de la Tour exudes an air of elegant refinement. Sublime French brasserie-style dishes and one of London's best wine lists can be experienced in the tranquil marine-inspired dining room with riverside views.

Blending French classicism with modern touches, the Pont de la Tour menu includes whole roasted mallard with creamed cabbage, pommes paille, and game jus, or fresh crustacea like grilled lobster with garlic butter. Vegetarian dishes at Le Pont de la Tour London include stuffed Piquillo pepper with tomato couscous, fried courgette and sauce verte.

Decadences like banana soufflé with caramelised peanut ice cream and salted caramel sauce or raspberry crème brulée with pistachio sablé are presented alongside an excellent French cheese selection.

The intimate private dining rooms at Le Pont de la Tour Shad Thames present unique dining areas divided by a glass wall, surrounded by fine wines and rare Grand Crus.

My friends were delayed flying in to London so we were over an hour late for the table. I had advised the restaurant accordingly, but they still very nicely phoned to check all was ok. The venue is beautiful, calm and relaxing with the service attentive. There is sufficient room between tables to be able to talk and to not be able to hear conversations from other diners. The music is nicely low key and the lighting, if a little bright, is still pleasantly diffused. The sommeliere advised on a perfect wine to accompany our 3 course set menu. My Gravadlax was deliciously served with shavings of pear, and my dinner guests both chose the asparagus with a coddled egg. Main course for all of us was a delicious rabbit ragout with a bean pea veloute that was delicate and filling. I have only had rabbit before in it's baby form thrown on to a sizzling BBQ in Mallorca, so this was a new experience for me.. The cheese platter and chocolate parfait desserts too did not let down the high standards achieved for this reasonably priced menu. My guests loved the setting, the ambiance and the service as well as the meal itself. I will no doubt return.

The service was second to none. The food was generally a high standard. However, some dishes were a little small on portion size. Overall, an absolute steal at £25 for a cocktail and three courses.

Beautiful restaurant with good atmosphere, I was taken for my wife and son to celebrate my birthday and we all enjoyed our food. The serviced was attentive and polite and very professional. I've heard this restaurant many years ago and this was my first visited and I will recommend this place to my friends.

We enjoyed an excellent midweek lunch at La Pont dela Tour. Every dish was beautifully presented and well executed - would especially recommend the rabbit and broadband cassoulet for main and passion fruit and coconut pannacotta for dessert. The espresso cocktail was simply divine and a great way to finish an overall lovely meal. The staff were friendly and service impeccable. Excellent value deal and highly recommended.

Booking at the restaurant was very easy and I received a call to confirm my booking a day before which was nice. We arrived slightly earlier than our reservation and had the option to have a drink at the bar or to go straight to our table. The inside décor and ambience was lovely. We had a table facing the window which was lovely. I went here with my cousin but it's a nice place for small groups and romantic dinners. We ordered from the 3 course set menu for £25 including a cocktail. The staff were very attentive and happy to explain and recommend things on the menu. The complimentary bread was nice too! A choice of brown, white or seeded rolls. The food was delicious and finely presented. Very worth the money and I would highly recommend this restaurant! I imagine in the Summer this would be a great place to dine if you can get an outdoor table. Later in the evening they had a live musician which added a nice touch, covering known songs on the acoustic guitar and piano. You could also look into the kitchen too through the glass partition.
