In a scenic coastal setting in Jersey, Le Hocq Inn is a quintessentially British gastro-pub. The most southerly pub in the British Isles, it sports a beautiful, landscaped patio area from which to enjoy the delightful seaside views.

The Le Hocq menu offers modern and refined British pub dishes, such as the baked pork tenderloin with Dauphinoise potatoes and sautéed green beans, and the deep-fried cod fillet in Le Hocq Inn’s famous Mary Ann ale batter. Traditionally chargrilled Portuguese ‘espetada’ skewers are an enticing offering, and feature a mouth-watering surf and turf option of prime rib-eye steak chunks, tiger prawns and scallops wrapped in bacon, all flavoured with garlic butter.

Locally-brewed cask ale and an extensive selection of wines can be enjoyed in the bar whilst enjoying a game of pool or watching live sport at this welcoming Jersey pub. A refreshingly bright cream interior is flooded by light from the sea-facing windows.

Le Hocq Inn sits on a corner of the winding La Grande Route de la Cote which hems the coast of Jersey. St Clement’s Parish Hall sits just 50 metres away.

Good ambience, very efficient and friendly staff.Pan fried liver with red wine jus absolutely exquisite.Battered haddock very good as well. The chips would have been crisp had they not had the fish placed on top.

The booking service was great. I've eaten at this pub quite a few times and always felt that it was lacking attention to detail. Food ok. I had the calimari and it was chewy so over cooked. Unfortunately the table we sat at was sticky, my arms stuck to it and so did my plate. Overall I'd give a 5 out of 10.

Fast and mostly friendly service. Restaurant was very quiet and lacked atmosphere. Dessert overpriced. £25 per head for 2 courses and a soft drink seems a bit much. Food was 'okay' but there is a high standard being set in jersey

A lovely evening with family in a pleasant setting and friendly service. The food was delicious and plentiful and the staff were attentive to our needs.

Disappointing visit and embarrassing to take three nieces where food was not up to standard. Moules order wrong and then Thai modules were not Thai, just cream with raw sweet peppers in. Plaice over cooked and unseasoned. Cold new potatoes and rock hard veg which I could only eat with my fingers. Waiter behind bar yawning and scratching himself. No one came to ask if we wanted more drinks.

This was my first time earring here and will not be back. I did not want chips with my meal so I asked for rice and was told you do not do rice which was fine. I then asked for potatoes and was told I could have them but would gave to pay extra - so I didn't want one sort of potato ie chips but had to pay for a different sort - I don't think so.
