Run by an award-winning chef, Le Gros Franck is an intimate French restaurant with pavement dining, just a 5-minute walk from Cambridge Rail Station.
In the day it is a patisserie, but on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening you can sample French classics from the 2 or 3-course set menus. Example dishes include a selection of duck delicacies, steamed skate wing and crème brulée. There is also a daily selection of specials. To complement the food, a carefully-selected range of French regional wines is available.
The restaurant's décor is rustic and typical of a French bistro, with a cosy underground section providing a more romantic alternative to the more airy space upstairs.
Located on Hills Road, one of the main roads towards the city centre, Le Gros Franck restaurant is also just opposite the Cambridge University Botanic Gardens.
