We visited the Lazy Toad for Sunday Lunch and ate in the restaurant. The food, the service and the ambience were excellent. The roast beef from local Burrow Farm was outstanding. The location is very attractive. Very highly recommended.

Very pleasant evening. It was a bit quiet but that was fine. We ate from the menu of the day, which was very reasonably priced and high quality. The food was attractive, well presented and delicious.

We arrived two minutes before the lunch serving time due to horrendous traffic, but the staff were still very welcoming.
We each had a different dish, and the mackerel and salad was particularly delicious. All the food was good, though the beef sandwich was extremely large and very rare, in a crunchy baguette, so my friend found it rather difficult to get through.
The Lazy Toad is in a lovely spot, and the garden is really nicely presented with lots of beautiful plants and bushes. My friends who hadn't been before were very impressed! Seats outside are great - we started al fresco but had to decamp indoors when the rain started!
All in all a great experience. We will return!

The food we ate was delicious and cooked perfectly. My fillet steak, cooked medium rare was one of the nicest fillets I have ever had, cooked to perfection. The vegetables were unusual but delicious. My partner's fish was beautifully presented and she confirmed that it was delicious. It certainly disappeared rapidly!

My partner and I popped in for lunch last week and couldn't recommend The Lazy Toad enough, it was our first visit under the 'new'(ish) owners and we'll definitely be back! A vast improvement! I had the Steak & Ale Pie - fantastic! While my partner had the Fish & Chips, which could have fed two, and was as delicious as it looked! Both of us were too full for dessert but will make sure to try some of their sweet offerings next time! Highlight of this very enjoyable visit has to be a quick cuddle with Rufus the pubs Irish Terrier!

Fine for meat/fish eaters but we are vegans so not good. Its a shame bacause they used to be really good offering us a special menu in the past and everything made to order but the last two rtimes we have been there we have been dissapointed. This time we were only offered a potato stack The bulk of it being potatoe wheich was cold with two slices of tomato and aubergine served with a garnish of salad. I had to order chilps as I was so hungery! Went home and had a good meal!
