One of the West End's most desirable restaurants, L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon serves simple yet exquisite French cuisine courtesy of multi-award-winning celebrity chef Joël Robuchon. Already with several accolades to his name, Joël Robuchon's Soho restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star and 3 AA Rosettes.
Influenced by Japanese restaurants, the layout of L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon encourages an engaging dining experience. The eating counter surrounds the open kitchen on the ground floor, inviting diners to converse with the chefs whilst watching them prepare their meal. Unique to Joël Robuchon's London restaurant, you can also interact with other diners whilst sitting opposite each other. A more conventional restaurant setting can be found in La Cuisine on the first floor, where the experience is similar to dining in the kitchen itself.
Within short walking distance of Covent Garden and Leicester Square underground stations, the Soho setting of this internationally acclaimed restaurant makes it perfect for a pre or post-theatre meal in the West End of London. Nearby theatres around this restaurant include the New Ambassador's Theatre, Piccadilly Theatre, Palace Theatre and London Arts Theatre. The comfortable, stylish ambience makes L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon an ideal restaurant in Covent Garden for romantic meals, business dining and special occasions. Valet parking is available and a smart casual dress code is operated (no shorts or trainers).

Customer reviews for L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon
(**** 2 January 2017 by Irene Lam from London
My husband and I are regular Robuchon client across various regions and it has always been one of our favorite. However the one at Covent garden have really disappointed us. We order the 5 course Christmas special with wine pairing on Christmas night. A few of the dishes were cold by the time it gets to our table. Dishes were not introduced to us, instead, my husband and I were referring to the menu from their website instead. One of the main dishes (Le Macaroni) was extremely disappointed, the edge of the pasta was hard and feels like it wasn't freshly made. Other dishes like La Selle D'agneau and the Lobster in Saffron bisque was fair, however the wine suggestions were paired well. Overall, we didn't feel this specific location was not up to Michelin star standard and a bit pricy for the service and food they delivered.

We had the 8 courses menu. For the first two we had to wait for an hour and then the other 6 came quite fast, the pace was definitely the right one. Otherwise all was tasty despite some of the dishes seemed to be too salty. The personnel was very nice and professional.

The service was very good and the head waiter and sommelier were fantastic . The food was very highly priced for what you got, it was above average but not WOW, which is what I was expecting from a Michelin star restaurant.

What a find!
The food was excellent and watching the chefs prepare the food was pure theatre.
We had the salmon and sea bream but everything was good so it's well worth a visit and I shall return

Absolutely exquisite from beginning to end.Wonderfully professional, friendly and welcoming. All the staff kept making sure we were alright and had a lovely charm about them. The food is divine and presented in such a way that one can only call it art.

A very pleasant experience. The foie gras was amazing , the artichoke salad and hache beef were good, And the desert and chocolates excellent. The portions were smaller than i would have liked.
