Next to Stockport's fire station on King Street, you can't miss the bright neon sign of the Last Monsoon restaurant or ignore its extensive fusion menu offering dishes from India, Bangladesh and Nepal. There are Seafood, Exclusively Vegetarian and Easy on the Spice sections, and all dishes are marked with chilli symbols to indicate their heat. Fusion Specialities include Chicken Anarkali, diced chicken and minced lamb wrapped in a Bangladesh style omelette (£5.95), for seafood lovers there's Machley Massalla, marinated chunks of fish cooked in a clay oven (£5.95). Veggies are spoilt for choice with a dozen mains including Paneer Chilli Massalla with Bengal bullet chillies (£4.60) There's a good wine list including a sparkling Indian white Omar Khayum (£9.90) and a number of Indian beers perfect for spicy food.
