Walk through the doors of Las Iguanas and find yourself transported to Latin America, full of rich, vibrant colours, quirky features and custom-made wooden mosaic tables made especially for the restaurant from sustainable woods in Brazil. Each restaurant is unique and the staff love bringing unusual things back from their travels, ranging from large lobster sculptures to giant drums. The philosophy of Las Iguanas is to serve delicious and authentic Latin American food and drink in an environment which evokes the very best of Latin life. With recipes dating back to the 16th century, the food successfully fuses native Latin American Indian, Spanish, Portuguese and African influences. Working hard to ensure that everything comes from the best possible source, Las Iguanas is proud of its fresh GM free food and top quality ingredients.

The staff were under some degree of pressure but coped cheerfully and politely, This was despite the unwelcome visit of a woman under the effects of alcohol who had to be removed and then decided to take revenge of a staff member's motorcycle. The police were called that necessitated the staff member to be interviewed and that further left the staff depleted. It was a busy evening but they never flagged. Good for them for going the extra mile! Food delicious. It was our 47th Wedding Anniversary.

The staff were very nice and welcoming. I had looked at the menu online and found Fajitas but didn't see them on either the A la Carte or Early Evening menus that we were given. The food was very nice though and the place was good. The cocktails were lovely.

Great atmosphere, reasonable priced menu. The deal isn't too bad, I have found a nice dish on two occasions. Only thing I would say is I ordered brigadeo for desert. My mother in law is Brazilian and when she makes brigaderos they are small balls of chocolate loveliness...... this was a whole glass of chocolate gan ache, frankly it was far too rich, sickly and not really nice. A table of six all though the same. But steak starter and a veg palm heart main were both faultless!! Nice staff, it was very busy so a bit of a wait but no problem, Def nicer that way than being thrown out your seats ASAP for the next bookings. Thanks Las iguanas!

    Amazing food and lovely staff

The place was amazing just a shame the service was terrible. The tables are far to close together and we were practicaly joined to tables on each side. We waited nearly an hour between our starter and main and the waiter would not give us eye contact when we wanted to ask where they were. We had to grab a member of staff for more drinks and they seamed to take even longer to come after. Also the table behind us were a bunch of lads who had clearly drank far to much. From what we could make out they had been told to be quiet more than once. It was a shame because its looks like a lovely restaurant. I never complain normaly, i know what its like when its busy and i fully appreciate but the whole combination of things did not make it a good experience.
