Afternoon tea was excellent and the service also, especially as our waitress found a pot of raspberry jam for my friend to replace the strawberry which she does not like. Bit surprised we were charged for a glass of water. Could tap water not be put on the table as per usual in other restaurants? The bread for the sandwiches was fresh and the scones were delicious. Desserts were not too sweet. Beautiful surroundings and, although busy, the ambiance was relaxing. A very enjoyable afternoon to celebrate a birthday.

Very nice and relaxed, staff attentive but not invasive and no pressure for us to not take so long (we were sitting eating and chatting for nearly 4 hours) The only very small criticism is that the tea could have been hotter, but overall was a lovely afternoon .Completely different to our not so pleasant experience at your sister hotel Alexander House. We have tried a champagne afternoon tea twice now, and both times it was dreadful (first time was awful but thought we would give it another try as hoped the first time might have been a one off. Sadly not and would certainly not recommend that hotel to anyone. It was a mixture of staff who were not rude, but just really off hand and on both occasions we had to go looking for them to ask to be served, and lack of imagination with the food, the cakes were certainly not inspiring and didn't realise a donut counted on an afternoon tea!

It was the best Afternoon Tea we have had and the sitting outside on the terrace on a wonderful sunny day made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
The only criticism was that the 3 of us were overcharged (Full Afternoon Tea costs £21pp. Champagne Afternoon costs £30pp.We ordered our glasses of champagne first and Afternoon Tea a little later. On the bill, the champagne and Afternoon Tea were itemised separately resulting in us paying £3 a head more for the champagne). I should have queried it at the time but didn't want to spoil the experience.

    Superb afternoon tea.
Service was brilliant - a young lady who was informative and engaging. Food was fresh and well presented. Scones warm.
    More tea/coffee/cream available when requested.
Delightful way to spend an afternoon. Weather was warm and sunny but we were put in the garden (as all tables were for afternoon tea) with table tucked right into the shrubs in the shade. It became a little chilly after a while and the two people next to the shrub were engulfed by foliage.
Should have asked for a new seating area to be laid up in the sunnier part of the patio/garden with a parasol. But it didn't spoil our experience.

had a wonderful Sunday lunch at the langshott manor yesterday. We were bought a voucher for christmas and finally got round to using it. The staff at reception weren't as welcoming as I had expected, however as soon as we entered the restuarant the staff were more than accomodating and attentative. The dining room was bright and welcoming and our table was secluded for the two of us, yet the staff did not forget about us which is always a concern for me.
The food was sublime, from the freshly baked roll to begin with, to the tiny presentation details received on all courses. The food was fantastic value for money, with three courses for £29.50 on a Sunday you really can't go wrong. The drinks money seemed a little overpriced, however the waiter was very informative of the wine we finally picked.
I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon at the Langshott Manor and would most definitely recommend to others.
