With views across the Somerset countryside, The Landing Light in Weston-Super-Mare is a pub and restaurant that specialises in slow-roasted rotisserie chickens, cooked in the dining area itself. Guests can relax in the stylish, wooden-clad restaurant or outside in the waterside garden.

The Landing Light menu features a range of rotisserie chickens with a choice of sides and sauces, as well as delicious gourmet burgers, including wild boar and chorizo with Monterey Jack cheese and barbecue sauce. Guests can even build their own burgers with their choice of meat, cheese, sauce and toppings.

Desserts at Landing Light are delightfully indulgent with honeycomb sundae, pecan tart and Irish cream and caramel cheesecake all on offer. Lighter bites, salads and sandwiches are also available. A children’s menu and indoor and outdoor play areas mean that the kids are as spoilt as the adults.

Just 3 miles from the beach, The Landing Light pub is a 4-minute drive from Weston Milton Train Station.

Rotisserie Chicken was really great as expected but other chicken burgers were a bit crispy and dry service a little slow

I have written to the managing director of Marstons to register my disgust at our treatment. I went with my wife & 2 friends. We waited over 40 minutes for our order to be taken. 2 parties came in after us and had their meals served before our order taken. Our waitress did not appear to be interested in our party which is why I asked could I place our order at the bar.
When the food did arrive one meal was inedible and sent back. 3 of us had finished our meals before the replacement meal arrived 20 minutes later and that was an excuse for a pie.
I spoke with the manager who was the most arrogant person I have ever met and did not want to listen to our comments but only tell us he had just arrived due to family problems. We said that the whole experience was unsatisfactory and he told us they were geared more to large parties rather than small parties of 4. As soon as we disagreed with his comments he stood up in the middle of the restaurant where we were seated and for all to hear said "leave my restaurant now" which we did.
Overall for one course we were in restaurant for 1 hour 35 minutes!!

Disappointed that the vegetarian beetroot pie was not available (it was only 18.30pm) and the option of polenta pie was hardly a substitute. However it was ok but could have been hotter; the mushrooms and portion of chips were barely warm and had obviously been standing on the side for a while. You need customers to return and pass comment to others. A reduction was made on the bill for which we were grateful

Staff were friendly & helpful. Food was ok but nothing special. I had the Brie & Chirzo burger - description was oozing Brie - I had one tiny thin slice that was Harding oozing and the Chirzo was small rounds about the size of a hazelnut that didn't staying in the burger - larger thinner slices would of been better. Fries were tasteless and coleslaw watery. It's was convenient for us but wouldn't go there again.

Lovely welcome from our waiter for the evening David. The food was cooked delivered quickly and all 4 main dishes which were all different we great. They only exception was the salad could have been larger with the salmon.
