One of London’s most eagerly-anticipated openings, Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium is a must-visit for all kitten lovers. As London’s first ever cat café, Lady Dinah’s offers diners the chance to spend a day in the relaxing company of the rescued felines while serving up classic in East London grub in the heart of Shoreditch.
The menu at Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium is relaxed and low-key, offering a great range of savoury bagels and a selection of tempting cakes, such as salted caramel cheesecake. Cream tea is served on vintage china in the cat café, with a variety of scones available including the mouth-watering apple cinnamon. Cleansing loose leaf teas include lemongrass and mint and raspberry leaf, alongside classic varieties such as English breakfast and Earl Grey.
Spread over 2 floors, meaning plenty of space for playing with the purring kittens, upstairs at Lady Dinah’s in in London acts as a traditional tea room, whereas downstairs is kitted out with mismatched antique furniture that gives it a homely vibe.
London’s only cat café, Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium sits minutes’ walk from in Shoreditch High Street Station.

My friends and I had a wonderful time interacting with the cats and staff while we had our tea and scones. I've been following this establishment online ever since they opened a year and a half ago. Traveled all the way from California to finally visit in person on my birthday! Much continued success!!

It was really lovely. The staff and resident cats were the "purfect" hosts. On arrival we were made very welcome and, with the exception of our order going missing for awhile, were soon sat in at a lovely iron glass topped table admiring the peaceful sleeping cats. During our tea, croissants and cakes, which were delicious, some of the cats awoke for a little fussing or to select an alternative sleeping spot. The staff were very attentive to both us and the cats, giving lots of extra information about the cats. All in all the one and a half hours went too quickly but the bill wasn't excessive and good value for money.

It was a loveley experience generally, the waiters were very friendly and the food was fantastic but on the pricier side. However, even though we chose the morning slot to visit the cafe, 8/10 cats were asleep throughout the hour and a half. This left one cat that was quite anti-social, he only sat by the staff door where he'd learnt that was where treats came from. The other cat decided to sit on an unreachable shelf where he remained. Because the cats are older now, they're less playful. Instead, they have grown to be the pets of the staff and are therefore only interested in the staff-making them less responsive and playful to customers. But this is only understable, cats are cats and we cannot expect them to be playful if they're not in the mood-just don't have overly high expectations that you'll enter a cafe with 10 liveley cats who are eager to jump on your lap and be petted!

Food was fine but could have had a bit more innovation with flavours and presentation The drinks were amazing, a cat themed drink is a must do, they were delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful and of course the cats were lovely!

Such a lovely experience! A place that grows on you. Perfectly brewed tea and scrumptious scones - not to mention the clotted cream which was the best ever. The staff and the cats were just adorable.

Average experience to be honest. Very difficult to get a booking unless booking 7 weeks out. The cats were fine, but there's a lot of competition to get to play with them. Glad we went, but won't be coming back.

I really enjoyed visiting Lady Dinah's it was a unique experience. Unfortunately many of the cats were asleep when we visited which was at lunchtime, although when we visited there was a adorable kitten named Alice who entertained everyone. She was utterly magical and delightful, very friendly kitten. The staff also friendly. We were advised that we were not allowed to touch or pet the cats if they were asleep. However I observed a lot of people were still doing this, but when I touched one of the animals I was told I should not do this, although the particular staff member had not mentioned the same instruction to the other diners/visitors.
I thought the menu was not very clear well structured, and noticed that meals that had been ordered by other diners had not been put down on the menu clearly. In view I though the food was slightly over priced. There were three of us and all we was tea and slice of cake each. The bill came to nearly £45.00.
However overall it was a great experience and the cats were lovely.
