The afternoon tea with free flowing champagne was a great deal and we actually had it in an evening rather than an afternoon!
The food was great and so was the champagne!
Our waiter was very friendly and professional

Opposite the iconic Wembley Stadium, La Regina Restaurant at St. George Hotel Wembley offers contemporary Italian dining in a chic setting.

Traditional recipes from all across Italy are showcased on the La Regina menu, all made with carefully sourced ingredients. Classic starters include Parma ham with buffalo mozzarella on a bed of rocket, while the pasta recipes feature rich linguine with a mixture of prawns, mussels and squid. There are hand-stretched pizzas with a great variety of toppings, light risottos, and hearty mains like grilled beef fillet in a creamy mushroom sauce with roasted baby new potatoes.

There are traditional Italian desserts at La Regina Wembley, including tiramisu, classic gelati, as well as panna cotta with caramel. The wine list has been carefully selected to include bottles from across the Mediterranean, as well as other world vintages.

A stylish spot for a meal before or after an event at the stadium La Regina London is 2 minutes' walk from Wembley Stadium Rail Station.

We chose The Regina Restaurant at the St George Hotel Wembley for its special unlimited champagne afternoon tea offer, unfortunately the offer is misleading and the offer is for a bottle of champagne between 2 diners. When we asked whether indeed it was unlimited champagne we were told it was, however when the first bottle was empty is took the waiter 10 minutes to find another bottle. After the second bottle the waiter informed us that there was no more, we explained that we'd dined on an unlimited offer and that we wouldn't be paying if that was not what was provided. After a further 15 minutes a third bottle arrived but it was a different brand to the original 2 bottles and it was not very good - extremely dry and sour. After all the hassle with the champagne unfortunately we cannot praise the food either. The sandwiches were not delicate triangles but typical lunch box half slices. The scones were burnt and hadn't risen and the pastries/desserts were bland. We will not be going back and will in future stick with the Hotels on Park Lane offering afternoon tea.

Good clean restaurant very well situated after an event at Wembley, food average Italian, service on the whole very surly. If you want a clean restaurant go, if you want good service and good food don't go.

The food was not rubbish and tasteless, I've never had a bad pizza until yesterday. My husband also thought the same.

The food and service were excellent.
However, the day before the booking I was called about my 10pm booking via Book a Table from them to say the kitchen closes at 10pm
.we managed to work things out, but perhaps BookaTablen
Should take the 10pm option off their booking page.

Limited menu and mistakes made in some dishes served ie we're not ad described. Service good but our table of four was the only one occupied a d on a Friday evening! Disappointing experience

A bit of a stale smell when we walked in, 9pm on a Tuesday night. I was a bit concerned that as the restaurant was only 5% occupied and the menu extensive, the food would not be fresh so we ordered a mozzarella salad and a parma ham starter. These were fine. It has a hotel restaurant feel to it, not a standalone restaurant, and front of house was just one guy who was not there all the time.

Went for afternoon tea back in February. The place was nice but there was no one at the entrance to welcome you.
The afternoon tea was nice, but the servers need some work. It took near enough 50mins from the time we sat down before our sandwiches and cakes were brought out, we were told the chef is preparing it. In the mean time we had coffee (friends) and tea (myself). The tea pot was fill for one cup and when I asked for more hot water in the pot, the girl serving us looked at me strangely. Again the pot was filled for one cup.
I have been to a few afternoon tea in various hotels throughout London and abroad and I guess apart from the tea and the late serving of sandwich, the place was well presented. Would go again, hopefully they would have improved on their serving and at least offer unlimited tea or coffee, like some places do.
