Lovely little restaurant. Went with 5 friends with different dietery requirements and every body really enjoyed the food. Well presented. Good service. Will recently go back!

The staff were very personable and the service quick. The wine was great. The food was OK, although all our dishes were pretty bland, lacking any seasoning. More vegan options would have been welcomed.

Very interesting polenta dishes. Some of them slightly different from the classic italian tradition

Great range of dishes. More something for a small snack in between than full dinner.

Overall I enjoyed our evening. The staff were very friendly and the service was good and attentive. The food was authentic altho I found my our main courses a bit small for the price. The desserts were very tasty and the highlight of the meal. I also thought the manu was a bit limited. I was really hoping for a carbonara or a vongole. I'm gluten intolerant so it was lovely to be catered for, the pasta is still not as good as I remember real pasta to be but was tasty.
Over all happy but not rushing back. If there was new dishes I would be tempted back as a treat.

La Polenteria had excellent if limited range of gluten free dishes. The tagliatelle with avocado asparagus and egg was delicious. Desserts very limited but cheesecake good if too big! Buzzy atmosphere

The waitress had a very odd manner. She questioned our choices and pushed her opinions of what we should be eating. She then quizzed us on why we hadn't finished our food a number of times. The restaurant is very small and so you are sitting right on top of other tables which makes it very difficult to have a conversation. The food wasn't good either. Very odd combinations and textures with no taste. I was so excited to find a gluten free restaurant but unfortunately this really disappointed. A final thing was that the toilets were really messy and not clean. Wouldn't have mattered if everything else be good.

Staff are attentive and welcoming without being overly intrusive. As a foodie with both a gluten and dairy allergy the knowledge of the staff is exemplary, I hope other establishments will follow in their footsteps soon, showing it is absolutely possible to deliver excellent and exciting food within these parameters. The restaurant is lovely, a great atmosphere and although fully booked when we were there you don't feel crammed in. The food was delicious, the grilled polenta with red pesto being a highlight. I had the pesto gnocchi with green beans & tomato sauce - absolutely delicious if ever so slightly under seasoned. My companions had the version with truffle & pecorino, they were slightly less enthusiastic as the truffle taste didn't quite come through strongly enough, however we will all be going back for sure.
