Bringing fine Italian cuisine to Kirkcaldy, La Passione creates fresh pasta, pizza, risotto and more. Exposed brickwork work and tiled floors create a relaxed ristorante style, with an impressive Italian wine list, tempting antipasti and decadent desserts from its experienced chefs.

The extensive La Passione menu features robust meat and fish dishes, with fillet steaks, grilled sea bass and calamari; many vegetarian choices are also available. Among dishes showing global influences, try chicken Mexicana or battered Thai prawns.

Alongside the Italian classics, La Passione restaurant offers Marino’s homemade steak pie. Fresh pizzas made on the premises include the house special folded calzone, while indulgent desserts include lemon and vodka sorbet and Sicilian ice cream cake.

La Passione’s central location is ideal for pre-theatre dining, with a big menu of tempting options. On St Clair Street, Marino’s La Passione in Kirkcaldy in Fife is a 4-minute drive from Kirkcaldy Train Station.

On arrival my partner and I were met by a very disgruntled female member of staff who made no effort to welcome us. Our name was marked off and we were then shown to our table, it was very obvious that this was to much of an effort. We sat down and the member of staff just walked away with no interaction from arrival to being shown to our seats.
The rest of the evening thankfully went very well, the waiting staff were very good as was the food. I would suggest that the staff behind the bar be reminded that it's nice to make people feel welcomed on arrival. First impressions were awful.

    Lunch Menu
Ours was a party of 4 adults - starters were Thai Prawns with chilli dip or asparagus soup / mozzarella sticks with a dip. mains - sea bass with mash potato or chips / pizza / breaded haddock fish with chips / veg. sweet - lemon meringue pie with cream / sauce or tiramasu with cream / chocolate sauce. Coffee . Service was very good . Ambience of the restaurant was lovely very Christmassy and was busy with customers. We all felt that the quality of the food was excellent and staff very attentive .

Sadly the restaurant had no record of my booking. Therefore initial welcome was not that of the usual standard. Bit annoyed that the waitress didn't even apologise when I showed her the confirmation email, felt we were reluctantly shown to a table. This was not my usual experience. Waiters and food as always great , service a bit slow at times but restaurant really busy. A good night in the end
