In the heart of Primrose Hill is the sleek-fronted restaurant La Collina. A favourite with the locals, the Italian restaurant has received rave reviews from Time Out for its modern Italian cuisine. A pretty garden offers an al fresco experience.

With traditional offerings, the select La Collina menu boasts a range of dishes, from carefully selected meats to a simple but delicious bolognaise with homemade pasta. Pan-fried goat’s cheese is served with fresh French beans and a tasty shallot dressing, while a succulent braised veal ossobuco comes with flavoursome pan-fried saffron risotto. Indulgent desserts at La Collina include the irresistible chocolate and hazelnut fondant, accompanied by Italian vanilla ice cream.

For al fresco dining, La Collina in Primrose Hill is ideal. While the stunning interior boasts a minimalist design, evoking a truly Italian atmosphere, the outdoor terrace offers a sheltered haven. Enjoy a glass of wine from the extensive list amongst potted flowers and green foliage.

La Collina in London is around a 10-minute walk from both Camden Town Tube Station and Chalk Farm Tube Station. Regent’s Park is a 4-minute walk away.

Lovely! We only had an hour before a concert performance (and the same went for most of the other people in the room) but the staff weren't fazed by this. Let me in early to wait for my friends, service was quick, friendly and polite, and the food was delicious. The tagliatellini neri were amazing.

Lovely, cosy restaurant with smart and professional staff.
Food was excellent. I had scallops and risotto. My partner had minestrone soup(which was rather insipid and disappointing. Her baked Sea Bass was amazing. We shared the semifreddo which was beautiful presented and delicious. Apart from the soup, excellent value for money .

Food was excellent, faultless...there were 6 adults in our party, meat, fish and pasta dishes were ordered and all were excellent.

We had an excellent lunch. The food was very tasty and the wine very good. The restaurant became very busy and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The service was very good for a busy, small restaurant.

Atmosphere was lovely and service very attentive. Food, however, was uneven. We had the fish stew special. Shellfish was undercooked and/or not fresh as a good portion of shells would not open or were clearly under cooked. Toasted garlic bread served with dish was cold/seemed pre-made/not fresh. Green bean side dish overcooked/soggy beans. Overall an uninspiring meal. We may try again for a "second pass" given atmosphere is charming. Maybe the more staple items on menu will be more reliable choice vs. specials.
