A vibrant slice of Spain right in the centre of Manchester, La Bandera Restaurante Bar serves an exciting selection of tapas dishes and larger Spanish delicacies. Bright yellow leather banquettes and contemporary red lampshades add a colourful Iberian flair to this contemporary eatery, while the wine list offers a great selection of bottles from around the region.

Authentic Spanish produce features throughout the La Bandera Restaurante Bar menu. Popular sharing platters include selections of the best Spanish cheeses, and a range of perfectly aged meats, including lightly spiced chorizo and jamon gran reserva. Small plates include inventive items like twice-cooked Galician octopus with a mojo rojo drizzle, and mini chicken escalopes in traditional Mouruno marinade with an Asian-style sauce. There are juicy meat recipes ranging from Iberian pork loin to lamb shank, and rice delicacies like rice with lobster cooked in a seafood broth.

From the bar at La Bandera Manchester, there is a great wine selection, and colourful cocktails made using fresh fruit and premium spirits. The dessert menu offers up treats with stunning presentation, including coconut bread with a caramelised top, and lush tiramisu.

A great showcasing of Spanish culinary flair right in the city centre, La Bandera Restaurante Bar sits 8 minutes' walk from Salford Central Rail Station.

Nos gusta Espana! Our first visit to this restaurant last night. Very welcoming staff and attentive. Comfortable seating and spacious table. Good choice of dishes where you can choose to have tapas to share or simply have a starter and main. We had the special meatballs to start. My wife had steak and I had sea bass for mains. You need to order sides as vegetables/ potatoes not included but not expensive. Traditional Spanish food and it's great to have cava whereas most restaurants only offer prosecco - no comparison! Overall a very enjoyable experience

The food was delicious, especially the octopus and squid croquettes but some of the dishes arrived a little on the cold side which was unexpected as the restaurant wasn't at full capacity. Having said that I would visit again as the food was genuinely very good

We had a fantastic pre-Christmas meal. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and informative and we got off to a good start with interesting cocktails. The food was excellent and just the thing for a winter's day. The tapas are great, the pig cheek was our favourite followed closely by the white bean and chorizi stew. All the mains were great. The lamb shank was really tender and aromatic and the powerful Roble de Roble washed it down well. The portions are generous but if you persist, the puds are wonderful and different. La Bandera was great and we can't recommend it highly enough.

Great restaurant. Accommodating to our newborn. Food was served in a timely manner and was very well prepared. The lobster risotto was excellent, very flavorful. Also tried the tasting menu which was wonderful.
