Good food and atmosphere. Wines a little expensive but overall worth it for a good evening out.

The restaurant is beautiful, I went with my family and was given a big round table with a lovely view of the Edinburgh Castle. The waiter gave us a demonstration of different steak cuts that was very nice and unique. The food was delicious. I am certainly going back, this time with my boyfriend and I have no doubts that he will absolutely love the food and the atmosphere.

The prices are also well thought and honestly, many other steakhouses in Edinburgh or even other restaurants with few steak options have rather similar prices for extremely lower quality meat.

We are not fully satisfied with the food the meat was not that soft
No option to have the meat rare or less than rare

Disappointing. Have eaten here before perfect food and experience. This time I had to send my steak back as it was overcooked. Next steak wasnt Much better. My husbands steak was dry. The cote du boef was however very good. Service fine. Bill was £225 so Perhaps on the High side for unsatisfactory steaks. Not sure we Would eat here again.

Lovely setting, great service, Steaks were presented at the table, some fantastic cuts of meat. No problem with the service or the drinks.Had a lovely bottle of Argentine Malbec at £27.00 For the three of us, we all enjoyed the starters, no problem with the side dishes. My son went for the smoked Pave' Steak which he enjoyed but said he'd tasted better. My wife and I went for The Highland Waygu Featherblade Steak .Not quite sure if the Steak on the plate was the same as presented on the board at our table, whilst the meat was flavoursome, both my wife and I were taken by surprise by the line of gristle running through the centre of this cut giving it a chewier texture than was expected, given the price of this cut of meat.
We think this was one of the guest steaks but were both disappointed given the restaurants reputation.

A wonderful meal, beautifully cooked and presented. The staff also brought out a surprise 40th desert.

The roast beef was over cooked but given we had waited 25 mins after finishing our starter it wasn't worth a complaint. The traditional pudding was awful - stodgy, heavy with sickly sweet creme anglais. Service was slow and despite being told we needed to vacate our table by 5.45, we were only starting dessert at 5.30. Compared with the last time we had Sunday roast, this felt like poor value for money.
