Inspired by the original Nathong restaurant opened in Bangkok back in 1984, Krua by Nathong brings an exotic taste of Thailand to the heart of London. This family-run restaurant, opened in the winter of 2012, is driven by a passion for serving only authentic Thai cuisine.
Translating as ‘kitchen’, the Krua menu is headed by traditional soups, grills and curries, plus exciting signature dishes. Enjoy favourites like steamed sea bass with ginger, and marinated duck breast with house taramind sauce. Vegetarian dishes and an extensive list of sides are also available at Nathong near Blackfriars.
The dining room at Nathong restaurant in London features clean lines, exposed brickwork, delicate orchids and a soft glow from traditional Thai-style lanterns. The well-stocked, sweeping bar presents a premium selection of spirits and wines.
A home-from-home serving up honest Thai delicacies, Krua by Nathong restaurant is a 7-minute walk from St. Paul's Tube Station, and next to City Thameslink Rail Station.

Went for a work lunch with colleagues and was pleasantly surprised. Had sharing platters to start, although they have a wide selection of options, and then our own individual mains. All the food was good and everyone was pleased with the service.
Would recommend the restaurant as it was busy and had a good atmosphere on the day we went.
A good find in the City of London!

Thai is my favourite food and this is one of my favourite places to eat it. Krua is tucked away in a Dickensian London street near St Paul's and we love it. I like the grilled giant prawn with spicy dip and my husband loves the beef Penang. The service is great - attentive but not pushy. The only thing we didn't like this visit was the new style of menu. It now has colour pix and looks a bit tacky. Ditch it Krua!

The restaurant was excellent. The food was devine and the service was on point. The food we ate was cooked to perfection and with great company it was even better. The whole vibe of the resturant was good. I highly recommend it.

The place is nice, staff are friendly and food is tasty. The grilled chicken and pork are good, but the pad thai was too sweet. It is also very pricey considering the portion size is tiny. And for this reason, it is unlikely that we will be going back there.
