We had afternoon tea in the library lounge for our anniversary, as my wife is in the latter stages of her pregnancy. The room was beautiful as was the food. However the star of the show was our waiter Paul who complimented the experience perfectly. Looking forward to our next reason to celebrate

A superbly stylish monochrome eatery in the centre of the city, Koukash @ Doubletree by Hilton Liverpool offers an eclectic blend of British cuisine with strong international influences. The plush black leather couches make for a perfect spot for afternoon tea, and there is also live music on Friday and Saturday.

The Koukash menu offers versatile dining options throughout the day. There are small plates, ideal for sharing, such as spicy meatballs with pomodoro sauce and shaved parmesan, and spicy patatas bravas. Delicate starters include pan-seared scallops with pea purée, while mains include British classics like duo of Welsh lamb, and beer-battered fish and chips. International tweaks to the menu can be seen in dishes like lobster mac 'n' cheese, and there are succulent grill options, including the chateaubriand for 2 to share.

A great selection of freshly baked cakes and pastries are included in afternoon tea at Koukash Liverpool. From the elegant bar area, fine champagnes are on offer, as well as premium spirits, world beers and cocktails.

Immensely stylish and with a buzzing ambience, Koukash is 2 minutes' walk from Moorfields Rail Station.

Was not too impressed with the afternoon tea, cakes for too sickly and sandwiches quite bland, not value for money at £40.00 for 2 persons, left most of it.

Service was slow. We waited 45 minutes for starters - soup and prawn cocktail. Prawn cocktail very bland - only lettuce, no lemon, or salad veg. No bread and butter. No butter for roll with soup. Sunday roast very tasty but only one small slice of beef ... Beautiful as it was, it wasn't good value. Waiter was cheerful and pleasant.

A fantastic experience, we were greeted at the bar, taken to our table and the service was second to none. The afternoon tea was a triumph, my grandma and mum loved every bit of it. A fantastic venue, staffed by fantastic people!! Thank you very much!

A absolutely fantastic afternoon. Attentive staff, beautiful surroundings and lets not forget the food. Not my tradition fare for a birthday celebration but most definitely worth it. Non alcoholic afternoon, Processco optional.

An old friend and I booked afternoon tea as a treat when she was passing through Liverpool on her way back to France. From the moment of our arrival, we were treated with courtesy and respect. The cake stand, when full, was a thing of great beauty - and it contained A LOT of food. we had delicious sandwiches; a scone each with a tiny jar of jam and a HUGE scoop of clotted cream; a variety of cakes and fancies; two beautiful pale blue macarons; and a scattering of fresh raspberries. It was all of a very high quality, and taken in plush and luxurious surroundings with, for example, heavy silver ware and snowy linen napkins. On the pricey side, certainly, but you are getting a lot for your money.
