In this laidback foodie haven, the illustrious chef presents an exclusive selection for the Koffmann’s menu. Timeless French accents are weaved throughout, with sublime signature dishes including roast squab pigeon with French-style onions, or a delicate skate soufflé with lobster sauce.

A wealth of choice from the wine cellar is painstakingly sourced from artisanal growers, and a stock of vintages offers some truly superb one-off bottles. For further indulgence, irresistible dessert options at Koffmann’s Knightsbridge include Gascon apple pie, or citrus terrine with a cleansing blackberry sorbet.

    This is the food of a master. Each ingredient purposeful in contributing to the overall integration of the dish; no "clever" hidden surprises but authentic flavours and textures perfectly balanced - a "condition of complete simplicity costing not less than everything". Only a master can achieve this - no need to dazzle flashly. Let's hope that chefs and reviewers addicted to foams and soils and pretty food get back to honest perfection. All staff contributed to centralising this hearty food. Where to next, great Pierre?

    Koffman's is closing shortly and not a second too soon.

    Don't get me wrong, Pierre Koffman is a genius and brought to life a style of cooking that had previously been over-looked, but that style has now had its day and should go back to the obscurity that it came from. The food is heavy, solid and will sit on your stomach for days - and there is a place for that. Occasionally.

    The big problem though was that one of the party was vegetarian. And there are no main courses on the menu that are event remotely vegetarian. When asked what the options were, the age old options of pasta (a boring tagliatelle) or risotto were offered. Again, have we not moved on from this? When pushed, the chef failed to be any more creative and instead served up a salad; it was less than ten degrees outside.

    Of course, as you would expect, the staff were lovely, the wine list amazing (if a tad pricy, but should you expect for wines that good) and service almost faultless.

    Time for a change at last. Moving on.......

    Food was mediocre. After all the hype about how good the food was before I went, it was a tad bit disappointing to say the least. We even skipped dessert feeling it just wasn't worth it after the starter and main.
    The atmosphere was lovely enough and the staff were of a high standard.

    The ambience was nice. However my main course was undercooked and had to go back, meaning my husband was finished by the time mine arrived. His skate was not that nice. Good dessert

    Pierre Koffman's food is always an absolute delight - the menus are inventive and executed brilliantly and the food appeals to the senses on every level. So nice to eat somewhere where the food is the star, rather than the celebrity chef, even though Pierre deserves to be celebrated more than most!

    The set lunch was great. The staff dealt very well with my coeliac disease, providing delicious gluten-free alternatives without any fuss. Excellent food + excellent service = excellent experience
