Amazing afternoon tea! Been to many before but this one was the best! Good selection of sandwiches and cakes! Only negative thing was waiter said they will come back with something and they didn't so had to ask twice to get it but other than that can't fault the service or the afternoon tea would defenitlly recommend

Very nice afternoon tea, cakes not too rich and creamy, which suited us. Member of staff in charge very pleasant.

Cakes and sandwiches very good. Tea not great - asked for a second cup and just got hot water poured on the previous bag. Staff friendly and efficient apart from this.

Really lovely venue. Beautiful decor and excellent staff. We had the champagne afternoon tea - the sandwiches were delicious and there was a variety of sweet treats. The only negative I would say was the scones which were a bit stodgy. The kitchen were happy to accommodate for vegetarians too.

    Lovely place
Afternoon tea was a very bland and unimaginative . For the money scotch eggs or quiche would have been nice. The scones were very stale! Hurt my teeth

    Ladies Afternoon Tea
Welcoming and attentive staff. Food of good standard, though bavarois 'over sweet' and lacking in vanilla flavour. Jam not to the standard of Great John St Hotel (sister hotel). Meringue over sweet. Banquet corner seating appeared cosy...however not particularly comfortable. Separately, arrangement of tables in tavern meant guests [on other tables] were in close proximity and overlooking our corner table.....this occurred during the afternoon tea and not possible in the middle of the afternoon tea to 'up root' to other table. Nevertheless, generally the food of a standard that was both varied and of good quality. Not adding a service charge was a plus...leaving customer to make decision re tipping.
