Great cakes and scones, sandwiches were nice but needed a little extra filling. Service poor for a hotel of it's quality, cleared plates away before we'd finished eating, got order of 1 veggie 1 normal wrong and we struggled to get attention to get our bill, pay our bill and get coats.

Hotel with a restaurant and cosy area for afternoon tea, beautiful building in centre of Manchester very tastefully decorated, restaurant and bar staff extremely accomdating and friendly , didn't fancy anything on the brunch menu which was served until 4pm (our table at 3pm)chef very kindly agreed we could have the a la carte menu .husband had octopus and I had terrine both were lovely, the mains of steak and duck were equally well cooked , restaurant was quiet not many people in but enough to create atmosphere ,the menu wasn't overpriced and I had a really lovely meal. Parking can be a problem , but then you are in the middle of a city ,meters are expensive and the nearest car park is a trek,
