Kiin Kiin in Nørrebro, Copenhagen, is one of the world’s very few Thai restaurants with a Michelin star. It has also received excellent reviews, with more or less all of the major Danish food critics giving Kiin Kiin their highest praise.
The duo behind Kiin Kiin are Lertchai and Henrik Yde-Andersen. Henrik is well-know for his role as a judge on the TV programme MasterChef and for having been invited by the Thai princess to open a Thai restaurant in Bangkok – an extraordinary achievement for a non-Thai person.
Lertchai and Henrik’s approach to Thai food is modern and refined, with a 9-course menu that will lead you on a remarkable culinary experience. Add to this a cosy and modern Thai interior as well as reasonable price levels and you will know why it is one of Copenhagen’s most popular restaurants.
Kiin Kiin is located on Nørrebro in Copenhagen, a 10-15-minute walk from Nørreport Metro station.

Wonderful experience in an atmospheric setting. A very nice new take on traditional Thai food.

We were impressed by the creativity, flavours and elegance of the dishes. The Tom Yam soup was superb, and the salad with candy floss was a great surprise.
I would suggest to stick to savoury aperitifs: in my personal opinion, frozen sweets and sweet tea didn't fit well and could be served as part of the dessert dishes.
We felt very welcome and service was attentive, but the issue with having all waiters serving all tables instead of one waiter per table was that having requested something for the dinner to our first waiter, the message was not passed on to the other waiters, so we kept receiving what we didn't want. In addition, we waited a long time for our second dish.
An apology was received and accepted for the service mishaps.
Overall, dining here was a good experience, but at the level and prices of this restaurant one expects better service coordination.

I have visited the restaurant several times, and the service and food is excellent. But the food is not so varied, when you often visit the restaurant. I love the dish with candyfloss, and the dessert is outstanding.

So any wonderful courses, and the service was spectacular. This is one of the most memorable dining experiences I've ever had.

Your juice menu was outstanding. The first course was a favourite and so was the dish with potato and red curry.
