Food was amazing really liked my experience at this reataurant.
The only thing I would say is that the service was a little bit slow waiting an initial 45 minutes after ordering for our starter and wine but once the starter had arrived the service improved.

Good atmosphere, very busy but it was a Saturday night. Service friendly, quick to bring drinks but rather slow to take order and very slow to bring food. We thought it was expensive for what it was but guess that is the problem with eating in Theatreland. For example, we ordered a portion of garlic bread for a starter - this was two slices of garlic bread, absolutely delicious but cost £3.95! I had one salmon fishcake on a small bed of wilted spinach, a grilled tomato and small pot of hollandaise sauce and it cost £14.95; a small bottle of cider cost £4.95. One of our party had a rib eye steak for £19.50, which came with chips but nothing else. We had tickets for the theatre and this was very convenient for dinner beforehand. We had thought that, as it marketed itself as an American style menu, there would be some high quality burgers but unfortunately not. Good choices for vegetarians.

Booked for 6.30 and when arrived for a table with 3 people we found the place was really quite busy. We were shown to our table quickly and the staff were all polite and friendly with a good sense of timing as to when to come to the table for anything. The food we had was from a set Bookatable deal and was really nice. We were all satisfied and pleased with what we had chosen. The wine list had a perfectly good choice which was not over the top expensive which turned out to be very good.
A great atmosphere in this basement restaurant which has nice decoration as well. We would go back. The person who was with my wife and I said it was one of his favourite restaurants and was very pleasantly surprised when we said we would take hime there for his birthday. A successful evening.

I always feel very welcome here, whether I'm eating or having a pre dinner drink at the bar.
Front of house staff are super friendly, taking me to my seat, and checking by during the meal. It's lovely,I'm feel very special.
Lunch can be as leisurely or speedy as I like. Staff intuitively sense when to approach for meal orders and to clear away. Courses are served professionally by two people and wine and water kept topped up.
My little dog is always welcome and fussed over. A bowl of water on the floor keeps her happy.
The food is always interesting and tasty. 3 different menus gives a great selection choice and portions size is just right.
There's never a rush to have the table back and the tables as are well spaced with perfect acoustics so there's no overhearing other conversations.
    My favourite lunch time restaurant.

I went here with my parents for the 3 course with champagne. They didn't have our reservation even though I'd had email confirmation but the hostess was more than welcoming to sit us and said they'd take care of us. The service from the waiters was fantastic and again very welcoming and polite. The calamari was great and puddings so good but the only downfall was the bar steak (rump) which was really grisly and tough to eat. would return but order a different main!
