Ideally located for a pre-theatre meal or for dinner after the show, Joe Allen is quietly tucked away on Exeter Street just a five-minute walk away from Covent Garden underground station. Nearby theatres include The Lyceum, Novello Theatre and Duchess Theatre, as well as the Fortune Theatre and Theatre Royal. Today the healthy cuisine and friendly atmosphere attract an eclectic clientele of the West End's young and trendy crowd, romantic couples and families.

Post Theatre meal. Seated immediately in spite of arriving 30 minutes before booked time. Very nice 'supper club' atmosphere, food and drinks supplied quickly, and of good quality. Staff knowledgable, attentive and accommodating of a table move. Piano playing a bit variable.

Great service, good steak. Unfortunately they didn't have "burgers" on the menu but apparantly if you ask for them they do a fantastic one!

Really great atmosphere - not your typical american-ish style diner. There was a great live piano player and the whole setting seemed quite intimate for a relatively large venue. Im not sure the Star Deal was value for money - but we were full afterwards and the food was pretty good. I would definitely go back.
