Boasting a prime spot right next to the iconic Shard building, Jamies London Bridge delivers a modern take on time-honoured classics from a largely British menu. Adding to a successful and growing estate of restaurants, Jamies in London champions international wines along with a plethora of cocktails and beers.

Crispy hoisin duck served between two hunks of granary bread leads the light bites on Jamies London Bridge menu, together with juicy tempura prawns in a sweet chilli sauce. Muscular burgers dominate the main courses, and include Moroccan lamb burger marinated in hot chilli sauce and spices, together with a homemade breakfast beef burger, packed with bacon, mushroom and a fried egg in a sour dough bun.

Oversized, patterned armchairs punctuate the contemporary dining room, complemented by the introspective artwork which lines the brick-clad walls. Sunken, studded sofas are scattered throughout the bar area, while light oak dominates the design scheme.

Overlooking the winding River Thames, Jamies in London Bridge is less than a minute’s walk from London Bridge Tube Station.

Was called 30 mins before booking to ask if we were eating because the kitchen wanted to close! Starters were wonderful and not a crumb was left. The main courses were the complete opposite bar 1 meal. The fish and chips were excellent but my lasagne and my son's pasta dish were both Luke warm and under cooked. Very disappointing after such excellent starters. Place was really empty so no real atmosphere. A real shame as this place is next door to the shard and should entice more people on a Saturday evening
