Been to Jamie's (not in oxford) numerous times. Always been very satisfied. But the service on Saturday evening was Poor. It took a long time for the waiter to take our drinks order when we first arrived and then we waited yet again to give our food order. We were informed various inaccuracies regarding what side dishes (e.g. Fries) came with the main courses. One of the starters came out so late the other 8 diners had finished theirs. All in all a very displeasing occasion. 2 of the couples had not been to a Jamie's previously and I doubt they will visit again which is a shame.

Kids ate free which was great. Food was lovely and portion sizes good and great value. We actually arrived at 5.30 when our table was booked for 6pm but we were seated straight away.

Lovely staff but food average. Pork main dry and chewy. Pork crackling starter also dry and lacking flavour. Polenta chips were the real star, such a shame they aren't gluten free, which they easily could be.

Wonderful. It was my birthday and we were given a complimentary bottle of wine. We had a baby with us and our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. Food was also delicious but the service stood out.

We selected Jamie's Italian because of the good reputation, it was our Wedding Anniversary and we wanted a nice, tasty meal before going to the New Theatre afterwards. The staff were very friendly and helpful . However our Starters and Drinks arrived promptly but our Main Course order took well over another 30 minutes to arrive after we had finished our Starters ( waiting staff did apologise, not their fault), and many tables arriving and filling up around us were served their main courses first. We selected from the Lunchtime menu as we booked for 5.45pm, not a complicated order just a Vegetarian Tagliatelle and an Oxtail Tagliatelle, (we suspect our order was overlooked). The food though nicely plated up was nothing special, quite average and we were rather surprised at this being the normal standard of Jamie's Italian.
