I didn't enjoy my dining experience at all. We were rushed from beginning to end. We hadn't finished eating our tasters before the waitress was there waiting for our order. I hadn't even looked at the menu let alone chose. We had no starters and I had a main which I didn't want.. Turkey something or other and an egg. Very bland and dry. Before I new it a desert menu was under my nose. Pavlova, by this time I could of been eating anything. Wasn't asked if we wanted any more drinks. Table booked for 8pm out on the street by 9pm. Very upset and disappointed with the whole thing. I was looking for a nice dining experience for a special evening but I didn't get it. Don't think I will be bothering again I'm sorry to say.

I've eaten at Jamies Italian several times now and enjoyed every meal. Last night I had the turkey off the Christmas menu and it was divine. I don't like parsnips but I ate them like they were going out of fashion along with the best cooked brussel sprouts I've ever had. The other 2 diners with me had the Porchetta and the Venetian stew they also were full of compliments for the dishes. The whole 3 courses along with the complimentary glass of prosecco and lemoncello were spot on, infact sitting here writing this has made me hungry and I could eat it all again.

I love the food crispy squid. Prawn linguine and palenta chips also my little taster treat and free pud shared with 3 good friends washed down with a nice white wine. Just made our Xmas day out extra special thanks

Fresh ingredients, very difficult to choose from the menu.
As I have a gold card we had a taster and a treat on the house: a fried mushroom risotto ball in cheese sauce and a lovely tiramisu but not as you know it.
The service was, as usual, exceptional: a well informed waitress with a smile who knows how to spoil her diners, even on a full Saturday night service.
We truly enjoyed every minute and every bite

Very enjoyable, good service and good food away from the rush of shopping on a Saturday! Booking this way made it so easy to find and book without any hassle.

The staff were great although we weren't sure if quite so many were required?
Our starters were delicious and One of the mains we ordered was perfect but the risotto was very disappointing ,more of an undercooked ordinary rice dish than a creamy risotto !
Also the toilet tap was faulty and loose, plus very hot , causing a dirty slippery puddle on the floor !
Unfortunately , We were sat so very close to other diners that we didn't feel able to complain at the time .

Jamie's Italian in Nottingham was lovely, a very nice building to look at from the outside and very "cosy" and authentic looking Italian style decor and fittings: very enticing indeed first impression. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food beautiful and very well presented, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The toilets are located in the basement: "a bit odd" we thought, but when you go down it is quite a pleasant surprise and you can see why it's been done that way, it takes you back quite a few years let's say!!! =) There was something that let the whole experience down a bit though: we were sitting in very close proximity to other tables; which was ok whilst the other diners present were couples and quieter groups... However, half way through the meal, a group of 4 very loud rowdy young men got sat next to us and their extremely loud "conversations" were rude (constant swearing and unpleasant stories) and certainly off-putting. A real shame, considering it was meant to be a romantic "date night", which we don't get to do very often.
