Not been to a Jamie's Italian before and was not disappointed. We had the early bird Christmas meal which was amazing! We had all three starters to share between the two of us and then a great choice of mains ranging from pork belly to mushroom gnocchi. I chose the mushroom gnocchi which was full of flavour and the gnocchi not too dense. My friend had prawn linguine which he said was delicious. A glass of fizz was also included. Dessert was white chocolate cheesecake with my friend having the epic brownie. The atmosphere was great, the staff were attentive and my friend and I shall be back! Thank you!

Slightly disappointed!! Expected more than than the average Italian themed chain restaurant, perhaps my expectations are to high!!!!

Nice welcome and good service but the portion was minute. We both opted for the £7.75 prawn linguine and whilst it was well cooked and nicely served it needed to be 50% for the price. I have been a caterer is the past and I felt the price was a rip off. For that price at lunchtime I would have expected something more than a starter size.
As for the next question regarding recommendation, the answer is yes and NO. My work colleagues asked how it was and I told them as above. For the very small additional cost of ingredients the whole experience could have been much better value.

It was good. No fuss, just like one finds in France or Italy in a good family restaurant. Helpful staff. No hassle. Nice surroundings.

Friendly staff, food was lovely, just a shame there wasn't enough. Felt that it was expensive for what you got on your plate. £4.95 for one piece of bread with pate. 6 pieces of mushroom ravioli for £13. Jamie you need to fill us up not let your customers go away hungry and poor.

I visited the Norwich branch on Tuesday the 25th of October 2016 for a birthday celebration.
I had to change and our reservation time and even at that we were late on arriving at the restaurant.
The staff handled it very well and lucky for us it wasn't too busy.
I had requested for something special at dessert on the bookatable website for my fiance as it was his birthday.
I didn't have to remind the staff which was a relief as i didn't want to give anything away. I really appreciated it.
We were seated at at a very pleasant table by the widow but also in a reclusive area of the restaurant and my fiance was greeted happy birthday in a friendly and professional manner.
This really added to him feeling special on his day. I knew immediately that they had received the message.
The dessert came with a beautifully designed Happy Birthday on the plate which was perfect.
All in all, the service was prompt and helpful, the food was nice and tasty, the ambience was perfect.
The price was unbelievable to be honest with a 3 course meal for £13.95. I must say they exceeded all expectations.
I would definitely eat here again and recommend to all my friends.

Food excellent, portion size much better than last time. Our waiter seemed in a rush to take our order and could do with more training in customer service. Decor is beginning to look a bit tired especially the toilets

Arrived early but staff put us in the area I specified. Greeted by waitress (153 Claire) and passed over my gold card. She told us that we could have some prosecco as per the gold card promotion. I asked if I could have non alcohol substitute which was orange spritz. After a while she brought two glasses of prosecco! I asked for spritz again she had forgotten I had asked for it. Restaurant not busy at 5:30 but she was very forgetful as she didn't even tell us about the specials until we had ordered and finished our starter! We both chose the tagleitelle bolagnaise for main. It tasted like a tin of oxtail soup had been added to mince. Nothing special at all. I make better ragu than that. Shame that the standards have slipped for food and staff since it first opened. Think staff need to up there game and food needs to be checked by Jamie himself as he would be disappointed from our experience. Chairs stained. Place looks tired. Come on Jamie. Make your Norwich restaurant great again please!
