A celebrated venture from world-famous Jamie Oliver, Jamie’s Italian Manchester serves creative regional recipes. Set in a Grade II-listed converted bank, library lamp-topped tables and pretty stained glass windows are offset by spectacular charcuterie displays.

Launched in partnership with Jamie’s Italian mentor, Gennaro Contaldo, the menu at Jamie's Italian in Manchester showcases dishes made with responsibly sourced, high-welfare and sustainable ingredients. Tuck into food you’d find people eating all over Italy, including pasta that's hand made on-site every morning, sumptuous antipasti planks loaded with delicious ingredients, and fresh meat and fish dishes.

From the bar you can order from a selection of easy-drinking wines, served alongside ‘Jamie’s choice’ vintages, whilst the Florence Fizz heads a vibrant cocktail selection. A unique twist for younger diners sees them select their award-winning food choices from a viewfinder menu.

Widely renowned as the jewel in the crown of the highly-regarded chain, Jamie’s Italian restaurant is a 5-minute walk from Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre.

Having read a couple of the negative comments and reviews I was a little nervous having booked a party of 8 for my wife's Birthday, I needn't have worried, the converted Midland Bank had retained its original stately details and charm, tastefully converted, right from arrival the service was professional and very attentive we were upgraded to a private room, free of charge and were looked after by a very attentive but unobtrusive waiter.

The choice of food was good and the standard of the food we had was excellent, the menu items and the wine were very competitively priced, we enjoyed our visit very much.

We will certainly visit again. If you visit do check out the vault dining room down stairs its incredible with the safety deposit boxes still in tact. The original Thomas Crapper toilets are also an interesting and charming experience.

Overall a very good experience, can't fault it.

We had arranged a 50th birthday meal for 10 of us ,we had a nice welcome on arrival and wished us Happy birthday ,when we went to the bar to order drinks the bar staff were also very helpful offering us the different drinks they had ,after this our table was ready we went upstairs to enjoy our meal ,BUT the meal took an hour and a half to arrive ,we were given a free glass of something i dont know what it was ? but it was because we were celebrating a birthday which was nice BUT at the end of the meal which was very nice but not a lot of food for the money ,we were given the bill ! we checked it to find we had been charged £75.00 for the drinks we were given OH MY GOD we couldnt believe it ,so we asked the waitress to take it off ,she said sorry and took the £75.00 off the bill .also we were told after finished eating we had to leave the table within 20 minutes because the table was booked to someone else ,BUT we had to wait an hr and a half for our food ,that wasnt our fault ,so we didnt have time afterwards to sit with friends to have a drink and chat
All in all its a very nice place to eat helpful staff but you wait a long time for food and you need to check your bill.

We had a lovely meal and it was reasonably priced too. Lovely food and nice atmosphere. However, you won't get fat eating in Jamies's Italian. The portions could have been a bit bigger. I could easily have eaten more.
