Having heard not so great reports about the food, i can say that me and my parties opinion was that the food was very nice. Pouring the first glasses from our bottle of prosecco ourselves wasn't very nice! 12.5% service charge we thought was excessive at a lunchtime get together.

The venue itself is really lovely. As requested when we booked, we sat in the gallery overlooking the main restaurant and loved watching the bustle of dinners and staff below. The food was fine but nothing special and had a good variety of choice including a number of additional specials. Staff where friendly and attentative. Now for the downside. We booked on the offer of 3 courses for £20, requested gallery seats (as recommended by previous visitors) and also indicated that this was for our anniversary. We where greeted with an acknowledgment of or special occasion and then seated in prime seats in the gallery, unfortunately unbeknown to us we where given the full menu sheet not the set menu option for our offer and therefore I had the embarrassment of addressing this when we received the bill. Apparently it was my responsibility to request the set menu! They did readjust the bill eventually but it was really annoying and spoilt the occasion.

Great dining experience, we had the plank to start with , which had an assortment of meats and various tasty bites which were absolutely delicious . Wonderful waitress Tamara was so helpful . Good main meal and fab dessert , good wine (which is a bit pricey) all in all fab experience.

Four of us dined there on Saturday lunchtime. Luckily we had booked, as it was very busy. There was a great atmosphere because of this. The service was very good, we felt well looked after as usual. The food was as amazing as last time, lots of different tastes and excellent quality. We will be returning soon.
