Lovely dining, staff were amazing with the kids. Although the restaurant was extremely busy we got our food within half hour of sitting.

    Good service but mediocre food.
First course was too spicy and made both of us cough and had to be changed.
Second course aubergine was uncooked had to be returned and we were unable to eat our main course together as the course replacement meal took ten minutes to cook. They did not charge for the meal which had to be replaced.
    Whole experience very disappointing.

I really want to love Jamie's but it just doesn't work somehow. I adore a capresi salad but at Jamie's they add a gloop of cooked tomoatoes that really detracted from what, at it's simplest, perfection. The main was chicken and a mixture of veggies that was very meh. Portions are small and frankly a bit mean for the prices which are rather high. My cocktail was lovely.

An excellent evening. We were attending a production at the Rose Theatre which is probably a 30 second walk from the restaurant. All the staff were friendly, efficient and attentive without being intrusive. Once we had been seated a large party came in and were seated just behind us. While not at all rowdy they naturally made quite a lot of background noise which I knew would make it possible for my father to hear us. Before I could ask if there was a quieter table the waiter came and asked if we would like somewhere a little quieter. We were very grateful for this.
The food was excellent, the house wines, both red and white, were both very nice and they catered to my twelve year olds aversion to sauces by adapting the meal he requested.
I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
