Brimming with the nautical heritage of this quaint London suburb, Jamie’s Italian Greenwich serves seasonal Italian cuisine from TV chef Jamie Oliver. Housed in a Grade II-listed building, Jamie’s offers a relaxed coffee lounge and on-site delicatessen, filled with take-home treats.

Launched in partnership with Jamie’s Italian mentor, Gennaro Contaldo, the menu at Jamie's Italian in Greenwich showcases dishes made with responsibly sourced, high-welfare and sustainable ingredients. Tuck into food you’d find people eating all over Italy, including pasta that's hand made on-site every morning, sumptuous antipasti planks loaded with delicious ingredients, and fresh meat and fish dishes.

From the bar you can order from a selection of easy-drinking wines, served alongside ‘Jamie’s choice’ vintages, whilst the Florence Fizz heads a vibrant cocktail selection. A unique twist for younger diners at Jamie's in London sees them select their award-winning food choices from a viewfinder menu.

A firm family favourite, Jamie’s Italian restaurant offers a sheltered terrace for summertime dining. Greenwich Station is a 6-minute walk away.

I booked online for 13.30. The website said that I would have the table for 2hrs 15 mins. However, on arrival at the restaurant (on time) I was told we would have to leave at 15.00 because the whole restaurant was booked for a private party. When I booked, I could have booked for earlier, which I would have done if I had known 3pm was the latest we could stay. The website also showed bookings available for later which would have been even worse. I complained at the restaurant and was told I should have received an email about it - I did not. This was a special family occasion and it was cut short. Although we were not actually turfed out at 3pm the fact that we could have been at any moment meant we could not relax or order dessert or coffee. When I complained again on the way out the manager reduced the food bill by half which was kind but I would have preferred to stay for longer and pay. The poor marks for ambience and service below reflect this.

Food was good but not amazing. i do find Jamie's a bit hit and miss. It was the same with the service. Good but missing that extra attention / speed when required.

    The dessert was a disapointment

  • (**** 23 September 2016 by Stan Spurling from London, Eltham

Terrible experience, ambiance: basic , too loud air conditioning
Food terrible: spaghetti nero - no taste, aubergine with tomatoes and cheese: aubergine hard and not taste.
Pork Belly dry and looked like 3 days ago. Steak was not too bad. Chips were nice and starters good.
    Overall: disappointing
    Jamie Oliver would be ashamed.
