Xmas three course set meal with glass of bubbles is a good value. Great place for larger groups upwards of five. Don't expect amazing service especially during the pre-Xmas holidays. Otherwise good food and lively ambiance.

We booked for the £28 3 courses and a glass of bubbly. There appeared to be a choice of 3 starters so we both ordered the salmon crostini. The waitress did mention that we could also try the other dishes but we did not realise that we were to get a huge board with various meats, cheeses, roasted vegetables etc and the was far too much and we left quite alot of it. The crostini was delicious and if it had been slightly larger would have been a perfect starter on its own.
For our main course we both ordered prawn tortellini. This was delicious and quite large but came with dishes of roast potatoes, brussel sprouts and sweet potatoe chips which we hardly touched. We could not face dessert after all this wasted food.

It was a shame because the meal we thought we had ordered would have been lovely. The waitress was lovely and seemed a little embarresed when the large amounts of food kept arriving. I think we would have been better sticking to the menu rather than going for an offer which appeared to be a bargain.

Terrible service, took over 2.5 hrs to have all our food brought, messed up my friends order (she's vegetarian so was sat for 10 mins looking at the starters not knowing what she can or can't eat because the waiters weren't sure what was vegetarian or not on the platter!!)

We had been to the exact same branch of Jamie's Italian a few years ago, and were looking forward to coming back. However, it seems like the management has decided to go for a more mainstream, and lower quality, feel. Jamie's Italian used to be a more unique dining experience, with a menu that went beyond the typical fare found in Prezzo, Strada, Ask, etc. To use one example, a dish that exemplified the "old" Jamie's Italian was a large flank steak served over a bed of greens with a variety of different fresh tomatoes covering the steak. Now, however, the menu is filled with food that is found in any generic Italian restaurant, but, since they have the "Jamie" name, the food comes in smaller portions and is sold at a higher price.

Additionally, the atmosphere and restaurant left much to be desired. Instead of welcoming us in a friendly manner, the hostess simply told us that we had to give back the table within two hours (which was not a good start to a meal that I had booked in advance...). The restaurant layout was cramped, with tables uncomfortably close to one another, and there was a lot of noise coming from other diners and (unnecessary) music being played through the speakers, which made it difficult to chat over the meal. The one redeeming factor of the night was the waiter, who was friendly and well-trained.

Overall, whereas we used to choose Jamie's Italian as a unique, mid-range Italian restaurant choice, now it has become much more generic and lower-end. Sadly, I feel like all the management cares about is filling the dining tables with tourists who go there because of Jamie's name. Unless things change, I will not be visiting it again in the future.

    Starter and dessert were brilliant
Main was bit of let down not as great as when dined at jamies before and veg was rock solid could not even get knife
We complained and it was taken away
We had finished meal by time it turned up and had just been put in microwave as was hot but still solid
Shame as marred what would of been a lovely experience
Staff were v good just could of dealt with the veg bit better

Good atmosphere, good service , good staff, nice food, we felt that the portions of the larger pasta dishes could have been more generous.
