Funky and fresh, Jamie’s Italian Cardiff offers authentic flavours from the world-famous chef. A lively open kitchen lets guests watch the chefs craft superb dishes, and laidback pavement dining is offered in summer.

Launched in partnership with Jamie’s Italian mentor, Gennaro Contaldo, the menu at Jamie's Italian showcases dishes made with responsibly sourced, high-welfare and sustainable ingredients. Tuck into food you’d find people eating all over Italy, including pasta that's hand made on-site every morning, sumptuous antipasti planks loaded with delicious ingredients, and fresh meat and fish dishes.

From the bar you can order from a selection of easy-drinking wines, served alongside ‘Jamie’s choice’ vintages, whilst the Florence Fizz heads a vibrant cocktail selection at Jamie's Italian in Cardiff. A unique twist for younger diners sees them select their award-winning food choices from a viewfinder menu.

A glitzy centrepiece bar at Jamie’s Italian is adorned with Italian produce, whilst a magnificent Welsh dragon mural is plastered across one wall. Cardiff Bay Rail Station is 3 minutes’ drive away.

Dire, my wife order the special, the most expensive main on the menu- sea bass & grilled asparagus. My wife shortly realised it was just sea bass on a huge bed of pulses. We asked the waiter why it was only half the dish, no asparagus and was told, yeah, they'd run out a while ago.....It was SEABASS & GRILLED ASPARAGUS how shite does a restaurant have to be to do that???

Very nice experience. Table booked for 5.30pm on Sunday as we were going to Motorpoint Arena for Harry Potter & Philosophers Stone London Philharmonic Orchestral concert @ 7.30pm. Had 3 courses for £20. We all ordered different dishes & all were lovely & well cooked. The service was not rushed & allowed enough time to comfortably arrive for the event. Must say drinks are quite expensive though unless you stick to house wine which is good. The 250ml Sauvignon was just over £9 & cider almost £6. Good location as close to venue.

Booked our table online 3 hours before. We think they accidentally gave our table to someone else while we were waiting at the bar, but they were very apologetic and we were only 15mins late sitting down. Our waitress was very friendly and the food was mostly great, but unfortunately my main course was a bit bland (spinach and ricotta pasta).

All three course were excellent. The staff were very good and it was an overall lovely dining experience. Very good deal for three courses for £13.95!

As a Vegan Jamies is one of the few places that have one or two vegan options - I had the aubergine dish which was delicious but very small. Sorbet is the only vegan dessert option which was disappointing and no soya milk available for coffee - which is pretty standard now in coffee shops. It's great that you do cater for vegans but if you're going to go the whole way - we enjoy an indulgent dessert followed by coffee too!

There's always a dish of the day which is superb, the staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. There's room between the tables so that you don't feel that you're conversation is being overheard by fellow diners which happens so often in other restaurant chains.
