Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, surprisingly busy for early evening on a Thursday. Booked table was ready and although the menu is limited for this deal, as a group of 4 we managed to find something for all of us. Our friends were surprised that as a "famous name" restaurant we didn't just get tiny little portions that were overpriced! One of the group chose from the ordinary menu so the other 3 chose from the lunch one. A very good experience and we would all go there again.

The service was spot on. Waiters were really really nice and made us feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door. Food was amazing. Both me and my partner had steak and both said it was one of our best weve had. Overall very pleased and will definitly come back

Lovely ambience in this cavernous restaurant. Staff were all so helpful and friendly. We went for a lunchtime special menu and to be honest, I thought it was excellent value. The food was delicious. . Even tho I went for a'superfood' salad.which is not my usual sort of choice, it was divine!
Felt sorry for the waitress when a couple nearby done a runner without paying. . Bad??.

Good incentive to come £10 off and a dish of your lovely olives.
Good service and tasty food. Lovely sweet tomatoes on the brushetta, prawn linguine could have had a little more spice.

Some of our party arrived a bit later than planned due to heavy traffic as there was a big event taking place in Cardiff that evening. They allowed the people who arrived on time to sit at our table rather than keep them waiting until everyone arrived. However it seemed to take ages before the waiter came to take our drinks order and then we ordered a bottle of white wine and a bottle of red but when the drinks arrived he brought 2 different bottles of white and proceeded to pour white wine for everyone with a wine glass! When we pointed out that we had ordered a bottle of red wine it was replaced but anyone who wanted red wine had to drink their glass of white first as he did not bring any other glasses. There was then a delay before the waiter came and took the food orders and although the food came out quickly after the order had been taken it was an hour after we had sat down before we started eating! Also one of the meals was later than everyone else's and the server had to check with the waiter before bringing out the final meal. The food when it arrived was very good and everyone enjoyed their meal but thought that having to wait an hour was a bit excessive. We can appreciate that the restaurant was busy but parties that came in after us were served with their meals and left the restaurant before we had finished ours. Also as we were a large party the restaurant added an "optional" service charge of 12.5% but on paying by card there was no option to reduce or not pay the service charge.
