A cutting-edge eatery from team Oliver, Jamie’s Italian Canary Wharf offers a lively retreat in London’s bustling commercial district. A glass-enveloped dining room leads out into a relaxed al fresco terrace.

Launched in partnership with Jamie’s Italian mentor, Gennaro Contaldo, the menu at Jamie’s Italian showcases dishes made with responsibly sourced, high-welfare and sustainable ingredients. Tuck into food you’d find people eating all over Italy, including pasta that's hand made on-site every morning, sumptuous antipasti planks loaded with delicious ingredients, and fresh meat and fish dishes.

From the bar at Jamie's Italian in London you can order from a selection of easy-drinking wines, served alongside ‘Jamie’s choice’ vintages, whilst the Florence Fizz heads a vibrant cocktail selection. A unique twist for younger diners sees them select their award-winning food choices from a viewfinder menu.

Blending rustic flavours and cosmopolitan design, Jamie’s Canary Wharf is the original London-based Jamie’s restaurant. Canary Wharf Tube Station is 4 minutes’ walk away.

I went there for dinner and the service was slow for ordering drinks and for getting the check as well. Good food, I was just surprised by the small size of the tea I have ordered: not only was the cup small, it was only 3/4 full. My friend wanted to have a local beer and it seems that they were not having that in stock. We had to wait for a long time before being able to order drinks too. The service for the food was excellent on the other hand. I would rate this a 3/5.

The restaurant is nice and busy. All staff were very nice and except a tall girl with black hair doing the welcome at the entrance. She seems cold and I observed her the whole of our lunch and her attitude looked the same to every one. When I came in I asked her if I could get the number of the table (so we could message him) as third person we were expecting only knew my colleague's name, while the reservation was under my name- that he does not know. With a sarcastic tone she interrupted me in the middle of my phrase to tell me that it's her job and she knows how to do it! It is a shame cause it is the first point of contact, and it can turn down customers who have not booked in advance. Other than that, food was good, and all other staff were lovely and always smiley!

Food was v good apart from the desert which was meant to be hot but arrived cold...twice! They did apologise and offered a complimentary drink. Service was very slow, they had a big party in and didn't have enough staff to cover.

I loved my trip to Jamie's Italian. The girls on the front desk greeting people were well dressed and polite and didn't leave us waiting. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great- very hustley and bustley. The waiting staff were very helpful and the food was delicious. I had a bolognese dish for my main and had the lemon meringue pie for dessert. It was amazing! I will definitely be going back to Jamie's in the future.
