Went to Jack Spratt for my boyfriends birthday. The food was excellent the ox cheek for starter was the best. The Demi burger looked great but I went for the Jamaican king prawn stew. If you love spicy food then that is the dish for you. The white chocolate tart was pure luxury. The drinks were slightly on the expense side.

Dined here with my friend for her birthday. Fantastic lively yet cosy atmosphere. Food was absolutely gorgeous. I had the veg burger and my friend had the meat burger and they were both amazing. There was a mix up with our order meaning they had to retake our order, however we still weren't waiting too long and they gave us a free bottle of wine by way of apology. I was extremely impressed and can't recommend the place highly enough.

We dined at 17:15 on the 17 of December to celebrate my mum's birthday before heading into town, to hit the bars. Does what it says on the tin, nothing special, but ok as pre bar meal if you don't want to be too full. My mum's birthday wasn't mentioned although when booking you were asked to state the occasion. Would go there again, for a quick meal but not for any major occasions. Maybe next time I might try the more extensive menu. On the whole the service was good food was fresh, but not enough prawns.

Dined at 7. We were not offered the menu we saw on book a table. Staff clambering to serve us. Menu was very small, one veggie. Given this, we expected a tasty meal. It was very disappointing, small, tasteless. Very expensive for what it was. We needed chips on the way home!

We dinned in the evening - just missing out on the early evening menu (will be going back to try that and try some different food). One of our party was late but this was not an issue and the service was impecable. Wine and food was also amazing, this was a first visit but will not be the last.
