Perfect for pre theatre dining. Excellent service. Excellent food. A bit pricey for a relatively quick visit but such a good location. Will definitely visit again.

Boasting extensive critical acclaim for its modern European cuisine, Indigo Restaurant offers views over the bustle of Theatreland. Housed within the 5-star One Aldwych, this mezzanine restaurant looks down onto the bustling Lobby Bar.

Rich flavours run throughout the regularly changing, seasonal Indigo menu, with eclectic starters like hand-dived Orkney scallops with suckling pork belly or pepper crusted yellowfin tuna with green mango. From the sophisticated mains, choose from halibut, roasted on the bone with wilted little gem and salsa verde, or a succulent 35-day aged rib eye steak. The contemporary menu uses only the freshest ingredients for light and healthy dining options.

As well as a well-sourced wine list, Indigo in Covent Garden offers signature desserts such as the bitter chocolate tart with pistachio anglaise and the popular crème brûlée. Presenting creative and contemporary European dining in Covent Garden, the Indigo Restaurant dining room features expansive windows and a lofty mezzanine seating area, perfect for a pre or post-theatre meal.

A relaxed, chic setting, Indigo restaurant in London is a 5-minute walk from Covent Garden Tube Station.

Overall experience was good for a restaurant of this type. We went pre-theatre and were very happy with it on that level.
Staff charming and we did not have any stress that we would not get to the theatre on time! Food better than expected. They did well.

I booked the table for post theatre matinee for 6pm. We arrived at 5.30, but there was no problem; and myself and 3 girl friends were shown to our table. As the restaurant is on the Mezanine level at One Aldwych there is a good 'buzz' from the bar below. The set 2or 3 course menu is limited, but the quality is good.

Service good and friendly. Chairs comfortable if perhaps a little low. Great location.

Food small portions but good quality. Soft Drinks overpriced. Convenient for pre-theatre dining.

Friendly greeting, and great service. The food was delicious, and good portions - would definately go again.

We had quite an early table - 7pm and on a Tuesday, so the restaurant was pretty empty. But the bustle of the bar below made it not feel empty. And the service was great - not over-fussy but there when wanted/needed. We were a table of four friends, dining on a 3 course set price offer, and thought the meal and the pre-dinner cocktail in the bar made for a relaxed and very enjoyable way to catch up.

We had an evening meal here. The food was decidedly average, staff a mixture of friendly and supercilious. I wont be returning as overall I think it was seriously overpriced for for mediocre food and supercilious waiter.
