The food was good, the waiter attentive, the price very reasonable but the place was very quiet which was a surprise. This is a real bargain.

Excellent food, as expected, but service below the usual standard albeit the restaurant was very, very busy

Overall ok had better mixed grill starter and rice with main was cold. It was a busy night after the rugby, also had lamb chilli garlic for main which was ok
Always a friendly and nice surroundings. However, staff needed to calm down rushung about too much and lost focus on making sure dinners were ok

Booked a table for 2 at 12 noon on Sat 12th Nov - arrived at 1155 - we were shown to table but appeared to be a shortage of staff & bit of confusion . When I booked I received confirmation that we would be on the £8.95 lunchtime special however when the waiter came to take drinks order he said that was not available & we had to order from A la Carte only . We both ordered Onion Bahji starters & to follow 2 curries with one rice & naan bread . Good was pretty good overall . When we were finished I asked to see the boss for clarification re the £8.95 menu . I was told that this was an error & was offered 20 % discount from bill . If I had to pay A la Carte prices next time then I would not return . £54.84 for the above meal & 2 pints of cobra at lunchtime is expensive for what we had . If you confirm a menu - then you should honour it !!
Also - get all the staff in at 1145 on a very busy Saturday !!

Excellent food and service - certainly above average for an Indian restaurant. As you might expect though you pay for better quality.

Really enjoyable evening out at this restaurant. The food is fantastic, flavoursome and properly Indian. Service and staff attentive and the surroundings styled in a plush drawing room type setting. Easily walked from Princes Street. Excellent and very reasonable at that.
