From walking into the restaraunt in Edinburgh the staff were impeccable. Perfectly attentative in every way.

The menu choices were superb and great assistance and advice was given by the waiter to produce the perfect meal.

All round excellent and highly recommended

The food was fine but the staff were overwhelmed by the numbers of people on such a busy rugby Saturday. They ought to have more people on duty.

Food was Ok but the restaurant had made a complete hash of the bookings for Saturday night and taken in far too many casual rugby fans with the outcome being many disgruntled customers some of whom waited 90 mins of no food. W e had a nice min course but it took 35 mins to get our 9pm booked table and then an hour for food to arrive.

    Excellent, though expensive.
£16 for veggie curry plus rice?

What an exceptionally disappointing experience having dinner at the Cavalry Club was. Frozen mixed diced vegetables were served in a vegetarian curry, [including frozen sweetcorn ]. Clumps of rice in the rice bowl, king prawns that were diced and very chewy. I was expecting succulent whole prawns. When the waiter asked if we had enjoyed our meal which we had hardly eaten ~I told them my concerns and was met with a shrug of the shoulder whilst he walked away. Five years ago we often ate at the Cavalry Club and thoroughly enjoyed it ,I can only suppose that it is now under new ownership. Never again...

The food, service and ambiance was excellent. This was our second visit to the restaurant and it has to be one of the best Indian restaurants anywhere. We recently tried Indian restaurants in Aberdeen and London where we thought we had excellent food and service, but the Cavalry Club surpassed both. The welcome and attention from Jonny the manager and his staff was very inviting a..thanks to them all.

The Meal was Great. Although having 10% added on supposedly at my discretion and being charged for drinks we didn't have and then also being told by waiter who could not speak English that again we had the drinks will stop us going back.
