Taking a healthy approach to Indian food, the chic Indali Lounge restaurant on Baker Street uses no cream, butter or ghee. Rated no.1 in a Channel 4 list of the UK’s top 10 healthy restaurants, the Indali philosophy is slow, gentle cooking, retaining freshness and flavour in its authentic range of curries, seafood and vegetarian dishes.

Full of aromatic, delicately spiced creations, the Indali menu blends tradition and innovation, with the Indali butter chicken tikka replacing butter with bio yoghurt. The indulgent lobster tail roasted with ginger, garlic and crushed pepper comes with a fusion of Indali Navratan sauce and Thai spice.

Indali restaurant offers a trio of abundant set menus, including a vegetarian option, with mixed starter platters preceding elaborate mains and cooling desserts like Indali mango kulfi and almond ice cream. A great value business buffet lunch is also available on weekdays.

With opulent purple décor, the Indali Lounge in London is home to a glamorous cocktail bar, mixing an array of mojitos, martinis and mocktails, with more tempting food available at the bar. Indali is just a 6-minute walk from Baker Street Tube Station.

Untrained girls to serve. Just two bottles Cobra beer left - and this an Indian restaurant. Chef had finished at 9.15 pm so my choice of dessert unavailable. Only good feature was originality of the basically Indian food.

The food certainly tastes healthier than your average Indian restaurant. The service was excellent, very attentive to each customers' needs, served with a smile and a sense of humour too. The curry dishes were not very exciting in taste and lacked a lot of spice. However, the wholemeal ciabatta was superb. Good value for money.

    Left standing around on arrival
    Slow and poor service
    Lukewarm starters

The atmosphere is very nice and this was one of the reasons to choose it for my birthday. The dishes were not as good as I remembered them. I liked mine but a friend was saying that her prawn curry was mediocre and not value for money.
The strongest disantantage is the service. Really disappointing. They didn't have enough menus and we had to look it from our phones! They brought appetisers and mains at the same time!! They didn't smile once! They must have a hard time working there.
Overall disappointing and not value for money.

Good attentive service. Our Hungarian waitress was very pleasant and attentive.

The food is well presented and arrives all together.

The chefs complimentary canapés is a good touch.

The food is tasty enough but for palates used to extra spice and richness of flavour it may be a bit too mild.

On account of this and an observation too is that your chutneys are not exotic or exclusive. You will do well to produce your own and unique chutneys. It will also help the seekers of more intense flavours.

Your ambitions to produce good healthy food are good. How about substituting the ubiquitous chutney and papadoms with either freshly grilled papadoms or something different. Well done for producing the papadoms without their being too oily.

Candles on the tables is a nice touch.

Your Natraj in the entrance is magnificent. Please put some carefully positioned lighting to make it glow and be more visible as it's worthy of this.

Overall this was a good experience. Well done and we wish you well.

The food was really tasty, it had an unusual but tasteful combination to it. The breads were excellent too. Thank you for the wonderful service.
