Recommended in the Michelin Guide, Imperial China London specialises in traditional Cantonese dishes and exquisite dim sum. Outside, a bridge sits over a carp pond surrounded by waterfalls, whilst the interior is bright and contemporary.

The Imperial China restaurant menu is led by signature seafood dishes and Chinese favourites. Sample fresh lobster with ginger and spring onion, fried squid with spicy salt and pepper, or the classic aromatic duck with pancakes. Other favourites include sweet and sour chicken, and stir-fried fillet steak cubes with mushrooms.

The Imperial China dim sum menu showcases handcrafted authentic recipes such as steamed pork dumplings and deep-fried pork pastries. From the bar, choose from a range of wines, beers and spirits.

Imperial China in Chinatown sits on the edge of Soho, just a 2-minute walk from Leicester Square Tube Station. The theatres of the West End, as well as Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden are all a short walk away.

We were 9 minutes late for our booking. When we arrived, we told them we were seeing a show and they were brilliant about accommodating us. Our orders were taken efficiently and the food came out quickly. The food was delicious and fairly priced. We especially liked the Roast Duck Cantonese.

On a busy evening, they provided us with a circular table as requested, that was perfect for all 11 of my family. Service was good and the food provided was to the table piping hot as soon as ready in the kitchen. Not cheap but enjoyed by all. We would happily return.

Very good restaurant, the staff were pleasant throughout. the only down side was that one of my party required a Gluten free meal, whilst the restaurant is advertised as gluten free meal available in reality the menu was very sparse and the waitress did not appear to fully understand the issues surrounding this matter. the GF menu was a large book which was reminiscent of an old spread sheet, it would be far better to incorporate this into their full menu with a GF sign next to the appropriate item.

    Great tasting food!
Two things which did not go well this time...
1: They did not have my reservation 'as it wasn't made online via their website'
2: Getting our food was extremely slow and our waitress told us we should of ordered everything at the start to avoid this!

We visit imperial china as part of a pre Christmas trip each year and on other occasions when we are in London. The dim sum is great and service very good.

Very good service, attentive without being disruptive.
Crispy duck was a winner and we all other dishes exceed our expectations...
One of the best place to eat in Chinatown!

Very nice restaurant in China Town. The food was excellent. The prawn dumplings to die for. Just wished the main dishes were steaming hot as they went cold quickly.

Very pretty restaurant which was busy with polite staff, The food was ok with good portion sizes. The starters could have been more generous for the money. We had the £27.50 per head set meal.
