Traditional homemade Italian cooking meets contemporary London dining at il Pampero in the heart of Belgravia. Located within the Hari Hotel on Chesham Place the restaurant offers both a refined eating experience and a vibrant atmosphere.

The il Pampero menu conveys the chef’s commitment to cooking from scratch - fresh pasta, bread, smoking and curing start and finish in the il Pampero kitchen. Served in a glamorous setting, traditional dishes include a selection of sharing dishes will be presented, finished and served tableside for a moment of theatre. Sample the the rustic tagliolini cacio pepe (homemade tagliolini with a creamy sheep cheese and black pepper sauce) where the server uses a large wheel of Pecorino cheese to mix in the fresh pasta and create a rich, silky sauce for the dish.

Il Pampero in London is located 7-minutes’ walk from Harrods, an 8-minute walk from Knightsbridge Tube Station or Sloane Square Tube Station, and a 10-minute walk from Victoria rail station.

The bar was lovely. The decor in the restaurant reminded me of a 1950's American restaurant. The food was
average to good quality Italian food. Service friendly, but poor. It took a long time to order, they forgot our sides. The cutlery came after the food. At no point was our wine topped up. And the bill took 20 minutes to arrive. Over all a nice restaurant but too expensive for the quality of service.

Our waiter provided exceptional service and we had a fantastic dinner here. The breads to start were delicious, highlights were the cacio e pepe and the pumpkins gnocchi with black truffle pasta. We also ordered the calamari entree and oxtail ravioli (slightly on the smaller side). Tiramisu for dessert was semi freddo with poured espresso into it, delicious and very different from what I expected!

Lovely meal, great ambiance. Pasta dishes were delicious as was the fish. Mixologist was top notch and Italian cocktails were genius.

Good Service - Would go again.

Nice decore, especially the floor tiles and window booths with their accompanying greenery. Unfortubantely it was a style over substance. Food was okay, but did not match its price tag. Good homemade paste, but all three mains we had lacked flavour and finesse. We came for the soft launch when it was 50% off food and the total bill still felt a bit steep for the culinary experience we had. Staff was reasonably friendly but firm, making the setting unnecessarily stiff and to a degree unwelcoming. Will not return when menu is at full price and would not recommend due to high price for what you get, though decor did add to the positive experience.
