Il Convivio is homed in a pretty Georgian house, serving exquisite Italian dishes. A contemporary conservatory area with a stunning retractable roof allows al fresco-style dining on warmer days.

The regularly-changing and colourful Il Convivio menu offers a selection of Italian specialities, from pasta to grilled meat and fish. Black spaghetti comes with decadent lobster and delicate white spring onion. Other favourites include the grilled lamb cutlets, covered in herbs and served with potato rosti and a creative black olive sauce. Innovative desserts at Il Convivio restaurant include the popular but inexplicable warm chocolate mousse infused with raspberry and served with vanilla ice cream.

Accompany your food with a choice from the truly extensive wine list offered by Il Convivio in Victoria. A light colour scheme allows deep red walls embossed with Dante’s poetry to stand out, while crisp white tablecloths and large plants almost take a backseat.

Il Convivio in London is a 9-minute walk from London Victoria Rail Station and around a 7-minute drive from Buckingham Palace.

This is beyond question my favourite Italian restaurant in this country. Not only is it so friendly and the ambience, bright, inviting and relaxing, the food is perfectly judged and balanced, at the same time as being inventive and another level entirely from the conventional Italian fare elsewhere. I have never eaten at Il Convivio and not been delighted. The prices are competitive in comparison with eating establishments nearby, and much better value for money. The weekly menu with three choices for each course currently stands at £23 for three at lunch time, £29 at dinner, though sides etc are extra. A great deal of care is taken over the wines too, and it's well worth following their advice if, like me, you are not always sure about which wine, with what, given a table of different dishes. A real skill. Pasta, risotto, vegetables perfectly timed; beautiful fish; home made sorbets with the season; fresh appetising ingredients; friendly and attentive service. 5 minutes walk from Victoria station; 10 from Sloane Square. Excellent.

I have been eating at Il convivio ever since it opened. I have always relished the food, the atmosphere and the service. Over the years it had only bettered itself.
A few days ago I took a New York friend for lunch. We ate in the Conservatory section under a blue sky with windows open. Divine. The quality of the food equalled
the beauty of the timeless room. As always the service was friendly/impeccable. My friend asked me to book a return visit when she returns from a trip to Austria.
No higher compliment could be paid!!

Food was good but small portions on the special offer and they did not have half of the options. Desert was a hard rock cake which we should have sent back. Service was excellent.

Food was essentially too oily and salty (fish & chickpea soup and prawn spaghetti). We had the 2 course lunch for £20 (once they've added service) and it was nice enough but not really good vfm. great seats, ambience and service though.

Excellent food and great atmosphere.I warmly recommend the tortellini al tartufo nero, among others. Good value for money too.

Superb food, excellent waiting staff. One blemish - they served a badly burnt almond biscuit and weren't that interested when it was politely pointed out.

We thoroughly enjoyed the beautifully presented and deliciously tasting food in a welcoming ambiente and with friendly and attentive hospitality. We are looking forward to returning with friends.
