The staff are very friendly and attentive without being over bearing. The food choice is fantastic. The ambience of Hugo's is really good.

A busy brasserie-style restaurant in the centre of St Helier, Hugo's brings together global influences with French classics on its modern and diverse menu. A long, canopy-covered terrace allows diners to watch the bustling world of St Helier pass by whilst enjoying a relaxed meal.

Tapas-style sharing plates on the Hugo's menu include tasty cider-braised chorizo with baby onions and sautéed prawns with garlic, whilst light sandwiches range from French-inspired Jersey brie and grape to the mouth-watering marinated lamb and feta pitta. Surf & turf boasts 4oz prime sirloin steak with Jersey scallops and tiger prawns, while French classic moules marinière keeps international company with lamb rogan josh and seafood paella.

Hugo's restaurant also offers a seasonal menu, with light spring dishes to enjoy in the sunshine and hearty recipes for cooler climes. A popular bar section features a range of locally-brewed beers alongside desirable French and New World wines.

Easy-dining spot Hugo's offers a children’s menu of unwavering favourites like sausage and mash and chicken schnitzel. It occupies a busy and lively spot on Halkett Street in Jersey.

I had booked for 5 people, one being in a wheelchair and the table was perfect, thoughtfully near to the disabled toilet. Staff were excellent, made us all feel very comfortable.
The food was excellent, fish, calves liver, pulled pork and BBQ ribs all cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning.

The doughnuts as a started were amazing. My lib ale ribs were on the dry side and the meat lacked flavour.

One of my favourite places to eat in St Helier. The food is great, the staff are always helpful and friendly and the overall atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit if your in town.

A fab restaurant decorated in a lovely quirky style, fantastic menu with a good selection and some imaginative dishes. Only thing that let them down was the service - started off very friendly and attentive but as the restaurant got busy the staff seemed to forget about our table. Asked twice for the desert menu but never received it, so went to the bar got the bill, paid and left.

Food was excellent as usual and the staff were incredibly friendly. Unfortunately, the table next to us had a small dog on the table which the staff petted regularly whilst serving food. This wasn't particularly hygienic and I would think that there's probably risk associated with this.
