We expected more quality than what we got. The food was quite basic and probably worth the money at £20/head but was severely let down by the prices of extras.
A glass of wine costs £9.50 as a typical example. The staff and service was excelllent. So all in all very disappointing. Will not go back.......

A very poor choice on the menu. The only meat dish being a burger(how disappointed I was) The starter was tomatoes with motzarella no cooking skills there either.Service and ambience were superb as were the wines but I would have rather paid more to experience the quality food that this restaurant is capable of.i feel my first experience of Bookatable was poor compared to the other sites we use.

Booked a table for 2 £16.95 each for 2 courses from restricted menu. Staff at reception and in Restaurant were very welcoming. Waiting staff were very attentive without being intrusive. There was very calm atmosphere in the Bistro Restaurant. My Fiancé loved it. Food was excellent and in sufficient quantity to fill us up and glass of Wine included to wash it all down. Would definitely book again.

Lovely surroundings, attentive staff, main course a bit bland and unimaginative, starter of butternut squash wonderful. Would not use the fixed price menu next time. wine too expensive at seven pounds a glass (London prices?)

Special offer menu very limited so ended up eating of the full price menu. They also added a service charge which was fixed and not discretionary.

A very good meal. very attentive staff. However when the bill came I pointed out that the extra bottle of wine we had had not been included. No one said thank you for pointing this out and they still increased the service charge which I thought was cheeky in the circumstances. Also no one pointed out that we would need a code to get out of the carpark. ruined a good evening

Hotel du Vin was the place to go for a special occasion but I'm sad to say that it is no longer the case. The waiting staff and service was very good (even a little over done) but the rest was down market. The plates were chipped, the tables needed re varnishing (actually I expected tablecloths), and the clientele better suited to a pub rather than somewhere that was trying to be fine dining. The whole place didn't even come over as particularly clean.
