The Hotel du Vin in Winchester opened in 1994 as the first luxury boutique in the group. Since then, my wife and I have dined there on many occasions. Last night we enjoyed an early supper and can confirm that the quality of the meal and service was as good as ever. Highly recommended!

Long-awaited first visit to this venue did not disappoint. Very attentive service [although in fairness, we were the first to arrive]. The food was cooked to perfection. The overall experience was very good and warrants a return visit soon.

We had a very pleasant evening. Started a little strangely when invited to have a drink in the bar as we arrived a little early. The decor is utterly weird, looking like a seedy nightclub. The staff are attentive and friendly and the main dining room has a lovely 'feel'. We chose the tomatoes and mozzarella as a starter and it was delicious. We can also recommend the salmon and the burger as main courses. The free wine was in a generous glass and was of good quality. A good experience and I would recommend the hotel dining room to others.

We took a 3 course for 19.95 deal, the menu on arrival had the good items removed (steak, prawns, cheese) and we were left with a disappointing choice. Should have gone on the main menu, but that wasn't offered. Shame its a nice place, good service, and good wines.

Stunning hotel, eating in the courtyard a real treat. Good is excellent and the staff could not have been more attentive when needed and left you alone when not. No pressure to rush the meal and seemed genuinely happy to let you take you're time. A really excellent and beautiful location

Service was professional from welcoming us to us leaving. Great selection of food and reasonable prices.

We expected more quality than what we got. The food was quite basic and probably worth the money at £20/head but was severely let down by the prices of extras.
A glass of wine costs £9.50 as a typical example. The staff and service was excelllent. So all in all very disappointing. Will not go back.......

A very poor choice on the menu. The only meat dish being a burger(how disappointed I was) The starter was tomatoes with motzarella no cooking skills there either.Service and ambience were superb as were the wines but I would have rather paid more to experience the quality food that this restaurant is capable of.i feel my first experience of Bookatable was poor compared to the other sites we use.
