Was awful. My companion and I neither could cut or chew the chateaubriand which should be a tender cut.

Disappointed..went for the chateau briand offer for 2, not really worth the money, wasnt cooked as requested, did say to waitress at the time it cane to tje table but no offer to return to kitchen, one portion of fries to share between two!! Poor i though when the offer was for two people. Nobody asked if everything was ok during the meal or when removing the plates. On the whole a lot of money for what it was & we were really disappointed..wouldnt do again.
Nice restaurant, maybe we were just unlucky with going for the offer as oppose to the a la carte menu.

The starters, scallops, liver paté and pork terrine were very enjoyable, the fish dish (trout) and mussels were excellent, but the burgers were dry and overcooked. The child's chicken nuggets were very tasty and the french fries good. Desserts were very pleasant but not exceptional. Wine was very expensive. Service was very slow. We had booked early (6pm) as we had a child with us and the restaurant claimed to be child friendly, but it was an hour before we got the first course. There just didn't seem to be enough staff to cope with what was a very busy evening (Wednesday). The setting is quite spectacular with a great ambience, but the bill was rather hefty for a not particularly special meal

Food was lovely but the wine was definitely over priced paid the same price for a bottle at the Whitchery and that one was amazing!!
