A colourful hangout with a laid-back vibe, Hopskotch Street Kitchen & Bar serves inventive international street cuisine alongside refreshing drinks. Downstairs, ‘The Hatch’ is a live music & performance venue supporting local artists.

Delicious tapas on the Hopskotch menu include Peruvian-style grilled chicken skewers in a roasted yellow pepper & lime marinade, fried Mexican pastry parcels filled with pulled pork & mozzarella, and shredded beef & tomato in pastry, wrapped in a corn husk. Bigger dishes such as burgers, hot dogs and fish & chips are also available.

The interior features block colours and arty décor, while oversized, mismatched furniture gives the Hopskotch restaurant a friendly, modern vibe. At the bar, try one of the fantastically-named cocktails, such as ‘Hoaxes Pocus’ – gin shaken with limoncello, raspberry liqueur, lime juice & pineapple juice, served in a skull & garnished with an edible magic wand.

Hopskotch Street Kitchen & Bar in Liverpool is a 5-minute walk from Moorfields Rail Station.

The food was half cold and this issue was only addressed by free shots that tasted horrible. As it was a pre order Xmas menu you would think they had everything in stock but they didn't have the right bread etc. a couple of elements were nice and it was an edible plate of food but it was more school dinner than anything and at least those are warm. I have a certain amount of expectations when eating out. They are not that high but this meal was lacking. The staff were unprofessional, the service was slow. The only reason we didn't leave was that we had prepaid and there wouldn't have been a hope of us finding a meal for 12 on a Saturday night in December.
