Staff lovely and friendly poor waiter was having problems with his tablet and he struggled to get order through.Food was really good but Although we paid extra for pigs I blankets they ran out and we were just given very poor chipolatas. Then when we ordered sweets we asked for brownies hot they arrived cold and then we were told they had run out of vanilla ice cream!!!

We had to wait 50 minutes for the main meal to be served; this was probably an oversight as only one guest had a starter. The food was very nice but not piping hot, warm at best. The waitress service was pleasant.

The food was nice and the actual place was fine but the service was non existent!! We had to wait for our starters as the waitress had "split up" our order. We then had to go and find someone to ask for the dessert menu and again we had to get up and find a member of staff to ask for the bill. Good job we didn't want lots of drinks with our meal, as no one came over. I wouldn't mind if the place was really busy, you could understand having to wait but there was hardly anybody in. Then, when I went to pay, the waitress never asked if everything was OK and then was "slouched" on the bar, as if we were keeping her up, while my transaction went through! My family and I just came away with the impression that the staff couldn't be bothered and that our custom wasn't important.
It was an anniversary/birthday meal and my family had travelled from Cheshire and Cumbria. I'd booked it, as I only live a few miles away but I felt disappointed and let down. I certainly won't be going back in a hurry or recommending it to any of my friends.
