On arrival nice busy Saturday night vibe, dining in our party 4 adults 4 children ,bar service good, ordered starters arrived , shrimps and dough balls were nice ,friends had nachos sadly they didn't look like the picture a lump of cheese melted in a microwave clung in a ball to 3 nachos . Mains I opted for brisket came in a basket the juice in the meat was sloshing about almost spilling out bottom of basket.my fries were so over cooked they shattered at a touch literally no potato to be seen ,sent it back and asked for a plate it arrived back promptly the fries were perfect ,however corn on cob tasted like it had been previously cooked and sat in water tasted water sodden, beef was nice but had a watery taste about it too. Hubby had boneless rib very nice corn and fries were the same as mine very poor! Our daughter had simply chicken dippers mash and peas , dippers were very over cooked and the ends kind of snapped off too the touch ,water sodden peas no flavour. Friends son had a burger which he didn't eat as it was burnt.another child had pizza which was great the other child had dippers again they were over cooked along with everybody else's fries! The staff were good, they could see themselves I think at the dreadful quality and lack of presentation , waitress's were good manager saw and agreed quality was awful . He allowed our children to have an ice cream and we were given a food refund ,thankfully saved the evening , it's such a shame as we only expect nice easy pub grub ,those meals as a mum I kind of make in my sleep easy family food, I would NEVER serve food like that to my family.
