Inspired by the glamorous allure of lion tamer Claire Heliot, the first floor Heliot Steakhouse offers panoramic views of the main gaming floor, where guests can enjoy a bespoke menu of exciting twists on British classics.

Taking inspiration from the site’s illustrious heritage, head chef Barry Vera pays homage to the spectacular Hippodrome with an exciting menu, featuring some of the best value USDA prime steaks in London, and fabulous classic dishes. Trusty favourites are given a swirl of luxury, like lobster fish fingers with triple-cooked chips, or veal & marjoram meatballs with homemade spaghetti. Classics like fruity peach Melba are served on the Heliot menu, while crispy date cigars with zesty lemon curd offer a quirky twist for dessert. Heliot Steakhouse is open every evening, and on the weekends offers a special prime rib roast with all the trimmings.

Famed for its exciting bar menu, Heliot restaurant in Leicester Square offers a fine wine list, innovative gin-based mixes and evocative cocktail recipes. American-style concoctions include ‘Wall Street’, or a fruity Hemingway daiquiri.

Established in 1900 and the site of the English premiere of the ballet Swan Lake, The Hippodrome in London is open every evening, and is an excellent choice for pre and post-theatre dining. Leicester Square Tube Station sits just next door.

The staff were extremely attentive, steaks and lobster were delicious, fries a little disappointing. Music during the meal was great. Overall a really good evening experience.

From the moment my friends and I arrived we were made to feel very welcome and special. We took advantage of being a little early to sneak in an extra cocktail and indeed were not made to feel rushed in any way. The meal was excellent - very good value and perfectly cooked and presented. The staff were attentive, friendly and professional and, again, did not mind us taking a while to decide on wines etc.

We had the Steak and Lobster deal through Bookatable and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone! The food was superb, service excellent although perhaps a little too attentive - the restaurant was still quite quiet as it was early in the evening and the staff weren't rushed off their feet so different ones kept checking if everything was ok. Overall a really good experience and the deal was very good value for money

Fantastic night and a good laugh. Would recommend for a work night out. The £20 become £40 a head with wine, sides and a pudding. Still fantastic value. A lot of the group also won back their money on the tables.
