Showered with seemingly infinite praise from industry critics, Hawksmoor Spitalfields has built a reputation for offering London’s finest steak. Exposed brickwork, reclaimed floors and shabby-chic fixtures are offset by a speakeasy-style bar. The newest addition to the Hawksmoor flock, a spectacular Art Deco cocktail bar sits below the restaurant.
Sourcing sublime cuts from multi-award winning butchers, The Ginger Pig, the Hawksmoor menu spans from hearty Sunday roast offerings, award-winning burgers and other serious bar food, through to its renowned steaks. Bursting with natural flavours, Hawksmoor favourites include delicate crab on toast, succulent pork belly ribs, or magnificent sharing cuts of porterhouse, chateaubriand or bone-in prime Rib, where guests can select their desired weight from the blackboard.
Showcasing a cocktail list ‘to die for’ according to The Guardian, nostalgic blends include Harry Craddock’s marmalade cocktail, or try a signature Hawksmoor concoction.
Quintessentially British, Hawksmoor Spitalfields organises Steak Club meetings for its most devoted carnivores. Shoreditch High Street Station is 4 minutes’ walk away.
Please note Spitalfields Bar is not wheelchair accessible.

The £24 menu was fine - the steak cooked exactly as required.

My wife and I decided to give this a try on my Birthday and were both left underwhelmed with the overall experience. My bone marrow starter was good, although could have done with something to offset the fatty content. My wife's beetroot salad was a extremely bland. More importantly it kind of sucks when a restaurant revered for it's steaks can't cook them to a high standard. Both of our rump steaks looked great but were ultimately tough and a struggle to eat. Deserts were the best part of our meal and service although informed and polite was over observed for my liking. All-in-all not what we were expecting and for the price a huge let-down, which we shall not repeat.

The service was excellent and the staff were charming. The food is very good on the whole, though my fish was slightly over cooked, (beef is the speciality of the house). Not so many vegetarian options, but what they have is lovely! We usually go to the Covent Garden Hawksmoor, which I have to say I still prefer simply for the interior.
There is a bar in the basement which we didn't try but it looked really cool.

very helpful waiter and service was quick. delicious cocktail followed by excellent beef and cabbage. house wine by the glass was expensive but as we had the lunch special offer - two courses for £25.00 it wasn't crippling. it would have been nice to have a sauce with the beef included in the price as well as the mustard and horseradish but it was extra. puddings were good but I would have liked a little more ice cream and a little less peanut shortbread. but both were very good. the coffee was excellent. quite noisy but I could hear what my son was saying - just. all in all a good experience.

The waiter was rude, felt like she hade been on work for a few houers to long. First see ask us what to order, then what how we want te meat cookt. We say 2 rare one medium rare.
We get 3 rare and see wasnt asking us once if the food taste god. Our glasses wear empty for 5 min before we could order more.
The she ask us want kinde us saus we wanted, we all order saus. Then we see that the saus is a side order when we are paying the bill.
Dont ask customers for saus without mention that its a extra cost. It was not a big problem, just another problem to the whole situation.
