Named by Giles Coren as “flawless”, Hawksmoor has earned itself something of a reputation for serving up some of the best steaks in London. After travelling the world in search of the perfect steak, owners Will and Huw decided the best dictionary-thick steaks were to be found in Britain. Hawksmoor Knightsbridge in London boasts a glamorous Art Deco inspired interior that exudes a casual elegance.

Sourcing their succulent British beef from award-winning butchers The Ginger Pig, the Hawksmoor menu offers hefty slabs of steak in various varieties, including a 500g bone-in sirloin and 55-day aged D-Rump, weighing in at 350g. With sides that include triple cooked chips that can be drenched in bone marrow gravy, Hawksmoor is definitely a paradise for carnivores. Hawksmoor Knightsbridge also serves British seafood including the likes of grilled scallops and thick cuts of turbot and monkfish all sourced sustainably from Brixham fish market in Devon.

For Sunday lunch in London, the Hawksmoor Knightsbridge menu has a great selection of dishes. Enjoy a glass of wine from the extensive menu along with the roast beef, cooked over charcoal and served with duck fat roast potatoes.

With steak so good “you’d want to marry it”, according to Time Out, Hawksmoor Knightsbridge sits 10 minutes’ walk from South Kensington and Knightsbridge Tube stations.

Please note Hawksmoor Knightsbridge is not wheelchair accessible.

My boyfriend loves steak so I made a reservation at Hawksmoor. We felt like we were in a location from The Godfather, it's beautiful inside. The restaurant is classic and sophisticated. I loved the Lobster roll/mac & cheese and my boyfriend said his steak was one of the best he has ever had. And the peanut butter shortbread was something else! And lastly, our waiter Luke was the best, he made sure our evening went smoothly and we were always topped up with champagne.

Great deal, 3 courses for £28. We had a great time, and if we are ever staying nearby again we would definitely revisit Hawksmoor, a little hidden gem!

I had the 3 course menu with tamworth rib as a starter which was delicious. The rib was tender and the vinegar salad was refreshing. For the steak, I got 250g rib eye, the quality and cooking of the meat was great and you get the chargrilled flavour. However this was let down by the baked sweet potato which should be such a simple thing. It came overly salted and parts of it were inedible. Overly salty food is my pet peeve esp when ingredients have their own amazing flavour like sweet potato, it shouldn't have been seasoned at all but that's just my opinion. It left a longing funny taste in my mouth so the rest of the steak didn't taste that great. The waitress was kind enough to ask if i wanted another side to replace the potato but i was getting full by that point, so didn't want anything. I got the peanut butter shortbread for dessert which was ok, the shortbread was a bit too doughy for my liking better go with orange jelly pannacotta which my husband ordered. The service and atmosphere were excellent and the waitress was very apologetic about the potato which was not her fault. But taste wise I'd be inclined to pick Goodman over Hawksmoor for a steak meal out. The chips there are more crispy than at Hawksmoor and no overly salty food the 2 times I dined at Goodman. This goes to show that one bad dish even if it's a simple side can bring down your dining experience. They did give me 3 salted caramel chocolates to apologise which was really nice of them.
