Named by Giles Coren as “flawless”, Hawksmoor has earned itself something of a reputation for serving up some of the best steaks in London. After travelling the world in search of the perfect steak, owners Will and Huw decided the best dictionary-thick steaks were to be found in Britain. Hawksmoor Knightsbridge in London boasts a glamorous Art Deco inspired interior that exudes a casual elegance.
Sourcing the best beef from small British farms, the Hawksmoor menu offers hefty slabs of steak in various varieties, including a 500g bone-in sirloin and 55-day aged D-Rump, weighing in at 350g. With sides that include triple cooked chips that can be drenched in bone marrow gravy, Hawksmoor is definitely a paradise for carnivores. Hawksmoor Knightsbridge also serves British seafood including the likes of grilled scallops and thick cuts of turbot and monkfish all sourced sustainably from Brixham fish market in Devon.
For Sunday lunch in London, the Hawksmoor Knightsbridge menu has a great selection of dishes. Enjoy a glass of wine from the extensive menu along with the roast beef, cooked over charcoal and served with duck fat roast potatoes.
With steak so good “you’d want to marry it”, according to Time Out, Hawksmoor Knightsbridge sits 10 minutes’ walk from South Kensington and Knightsbridge Tube stations.
Please note Hawksmoor Knightsbridge is not wheelchair accessible.

Service - We have heard so much about the incredible service at Hawksmoor but we were disappointed. We were greeted by a very friendly host and taken straight to our table with a very friendly bartender greeting us on the way through. We then had to wait 15 minutes before any drinks were offered to us. Steps and speed of service were generally on point after this and waiter presence was great, except we sat in front of our mains for 20 mins after finishing as it was apparent the staff were closing down for the evening and taken their foot of the pedal. The worst part of the evening was the lack of warmth and genuine hospitality from all of our servers. It was very robotic and when we asked questions we were given answers that didn't answer our questions, but seemed to be a pre learnt text. We only had a couple of smiles the whole time we were there and the floor Manager himself was very stern when he dropped of our wine and didn't engage with us at all. Our server also didn't give any recommendations even when prompted. We left with a cold feeling from the place and asked for the £25 service charge to be taken off as it wasn't justified and left a £10 tip out of courtesy.
Food - We had the classics menu and the rib nuggets were delicious, the scallops were one of the best things I've ever tasted and the ribs melted in our mouths. Our main was ok, but we expected more. The fillet was meant to be medium rare, but we got medium to well, the chips were undercooked in the middle and there wasn't that triple cooked flavour. Bone Marrow was bland and confusing as it didn't compliment the rest of the dish. Creamed spinach was amazing!! Desserts were spot on.
Drinks - The ginger brew was delicious, the muscadet and the Riesling were very underwhelming, Pinot noir was great and fruity, sherry is sherry and the clerk of the works wasn't nice at all - bitter with a powerful burn from the alcohol, not at all biscuity like in the description and the spices didn't come through

The food was amazing, we loved it. The only concern we had was where they seated us, we were sat at the very back of an empty restaurant behind a large pillar which meant it was very hard to get any staff member's attention. We were in a two, and yet other parties of two were sat in booths and other free tables down the middle. Other than that, lovely food!

Staff very friendly and attentive. My steak wasn't the best fillet, slightly over done. We were offered the house red wine, as it was on special offer, not actually realising it was £60 per bottle. I think that was very misleading actually.

Went here for lunch and opted for the express menu - 2 courses for £25.
Once seated, we were informed that the fryer was broken which meant no CHIPS. Other options were mash, sweet potato or lettuce.
The food and cocktails were good but the interior is pretty dark. Would recommend.
